Has anyone had any problems with Underwood 10 mm bullets backing out of the case under heavy recoil? In my 5" 610, made in the early 1990's, I have not had any problems of this type but I wonder about it with the heavy recoil of the Underwood stuff.

I have yet to shoot my new 4" 610 and a few weeks back, I picked up a box of 180 grain Underwood JHP's.

Are problems like this likely? Would the length of the cylinder make this a non-issue?

Fire a round or two and look to see if they are pulling out.

For the calibers I've used, I've never had any issue with Underwood ammo. (Except sore hands).

I had an early 5" 610, two actually. Underwood wasn't around, but I shot the original Norma, CorBon, and reloads equivalent to today's Underwood,etc. Never had an issue with bullet pull. That being said, I have little doubt that I could have induced bullet pull by intentionally leaving a round unfired and, and shooting the other five rounds in the moon clip. Then reloading, and doing it again and again,etc. At some point, the unfired bullet would likely be pulled enough to cause an issue. I've done similar with 9MM revolvers. But there was never a bullet pull issue with my 9mm or 10mm revolvers in normal use....

I would contact Underwood. Friend of mine had the same problem with SW 500 loads. They helped him out. Their service is excellent.

Load 6, fire the first 5 then pull 6 out and check to see. That’s a good way to see if a particular round will do this or not in a particular gun.
