My ammo finally shipped ...

It's been so long, I nearly forgot about it.

I got the email today that it had shipped. It should be here tomorrow.

I ordered two, 500 round packs of 9mm for $84.99 each ($8.49/box for 20 boxes) from Bass Pro Shops WAAAAAAAAY back on April 2nd ... I got a few notifications since then that the ship date was being pushed back, and if I wanted to cancel the order to let them know. I just kept waiting (and waiting, and waiting, and waiting)

Smiling that it'll be here tomorrow.

I wasn't near running out or anything like that. I'm just happy that I've got another 1,000 rounds coming at a good price. I had a bad feeling that my order was going to end up getting cancelled. Glad that they honored the price I ordered them at.

Sons and grandsons in 3 states have reported no 9X19, .38 Spl, or .45ACP available in recent months. They are conserving their carry ammo and I am sending them range ammo from my reloading bench. Making a dent in my loaded ammo supply so I can foresee some bench time coming up. Fortunately, I have been purchasing a carton or two of primers every month and a pound or two of powder while these were in good supply over the past year or so.

Just about time for the annual production run of .30-30 to resupply the "kids" (late teens to late 40's) for the upcoming season. I have told them for years that ammunition can be purchased in sporting goods stores, but they continue sending their fired brass to Grampa's house.

It is going to be empty shelves for a while I am afraid. Both loaded ammo and reloading components are taking a hit right now

I just got 5000 rounds of CCI Mini Mag 22's a couple days ago from Target Sports USA, cost $335. That comes out to 25 visits to the range for the wife.

Some ammo I ordered from them was shipped last month. It took a long time, but it was not critical I receive it immediately.

I am still waiting for some Federal 12 ga 00 Buck I ordered on
11 Mar 20. The folks in Anoka MN are working hard to get the
stuff out. When I called the peddler I bought from they said
Federal was filling orders as fast as they could but demand was
"heavy".
