1300 fps is impressive for a 124 gr bullet.

I did a test run with my full 9mm and got a 124 up to 1267 fps
with a full load of Unique, per manual, to see what it would do.

I have slower powders that might up the fps by 50 fps but I did not see the need.

It would be interresting to see what the powder looks like and what they chrony at.

Made in the USA........... that a good thing.

I wonder what their test parameters are and what kind of case pressure that is running.

Fed 9BPLE, 155g +P+, I chrono'd 1335 fps from my 4.5" XDm...and that's some hot ammo.

Not only Atomic and +P but also "Match Hollow Point " ammo ...
That's interesting ... I guess the match isn't NRA Bullseye Target at 25 feet .
I've never tried any . 124 grain bullet at 1300 fps is getting into 357 magnum territory ... I'll pass ... i'm no longer a "speed freak" , got over that years ago .

Anyplace that calls their ammo "ATOMIC +P" and posts a disclaimer that their ammo WILL "accelerate wear" of your gun is trying to tell you something.
To me that something translates to "DANGER WILL ROBINSON. Do not use this ammo in guns you like - or fire said guns with hands and fingers you want to keep".
If I wanted to blow up a gun, I have reloading equipment and know just how I could go about doing it.
I don't need to pay someone else for dangerous overpressure ammo - I could make it myself if I wanted some. I don't.

After you shoot some you may be glad you only bought 20. :D Larry

You may have point there...mostly curious.
I research a ton of different ammo, yet thus far I've only pulled the trigger on Speer GD, Federal HST, Golden Sabers , Hornady, Remington 124 Nato FMJ, and Fiocchi 124.

I haven't heard of any issues with the Atomic 9mm, nor have I seen any info that they use "used" brass.
Right after I bought my 5 inch M&P, I saw a 50 round box of the Atomics.
They are stout, the ones I tested averaged 1299 fps., with minimal spread between the low and high velocity.
(Low 1285, high 1313 fps.)

I wouldn't want to fire a steady diet of them, but a few aren't going to wreck your gun.
Not long after I did a review of them over on m-p pistol forum, I bought 8 -50 rounds boxes of Federal 124 grain HST, so I ended up giving the remainder of the Atomics to my 76 year old neighbor who bought a new Ruger 9mm and couldn't find any ammo for it. I doubt he'll ever fire one.

Even though I live in Arizona, I was not familiar with Atomic Ammo. But FWIW, I have loaded thousands of rounds of 9MM ammo to similar ballistics. I used these loads in a variety of pistols and revolvers without any issues. Also used considerable factory Federal 9BPLE +P+, Winchester NATO, M1152 and Ranger +P+, IMI NATO and black tip, Remington +P, +P+, etc., also without issue. If I actually came across some 9MM Atomic 124 +P, I'd likely buy it and try it to satisfy my ballistic curiosity;)
