Avoid Molly's Place
Don't buy from Molly's Place on Gunbroker or their site. I recently won an auction for 10 boxes of Federal Automatch for a great price, $130 +30 shipping.
Package arrived with only 5 boxes. After taking days to get back to me they said they didn't have it in stock. No good explanation or apology for my missing ammo. Then they wanted me to return the ammo to receive a refund. WHAT REPUTABLE COMPANY ACCEPTS AMMO RETURNS?
Win a penny auction from Molly's Place for a good price and they will not honor your auction.

They are probably hoping you will keep what you have (50%), let them keep all the money and stall it to death.

Of course you can always contact Gunbroker if you feel you have enough years left to wait for a reply

I’ve known them to ship a gun (Hellcat) with an illegal (NY) mag to an FFL for a customer. Then hassle the customer and not want to take it back. They claimed it was NY compliant when it could clearly be loaded past 10.

The kicker is the request to return ammo for a full refund. What seller accepts ammo returns?

I bought 2 Vortex scopes, about 9 months apart, from Molly's Place, LLC. on Ebay.
I had no problems and received the items quickly.
Their Ebay store is listed as: gunco9199
Do not know if it is the same Molly's as discussed in this post.

I'd say it was fair-you paid for what you got. Put another way, you got what you paid for. You got away unscathed, you let them have it on the forun and you don't have to do bid'ness with them again no more. Me, I would not buy ammo on gunbroker in the first place.
Less than 48 hours from your original post where you were in total despair, anger and in general pissed off to a happy resolouton-I'd say you are ahead of the game!
On the internet there is a little bit of risk involved as in any transaction where you are not face to fact allowing you to reach over the counter and grab 'em by the collar and shake them until they comply. On the other hand, they cannot retort and shoot you either!

Call your credit card company. Discover would do a chargeback on that the same day. Some retailers make you think you have to abide by what THEY say...you don't-- if you have a legitimate gripe, your bank will take care of it post haste!
If you screen shotted the ad you won, that could also be sent electronically to be included in your dispute.
Been there, done that on things like this, and as said, Discover always credited me same day, and then they contact vendor.
****EDIT- I missed your reply about being refunded, but want to leave what I wrote, so others here learn there is more than one way too skin a cat with these types of vendors.****

The days of the small local shops are getting shorter and shorter. These big retailers have online access to wholesale inventory data and will list that inventory for sale. Drop shipping is the nature of the beast for many online businesses these days. Over selling happens, and the end user can get shorted. I am not a fan of it, but it happens.
Here is a classic example.
molly.JPG
My money says they do not actually have 10 + A300's in their possession. They as well as other retailers will be showing these same A300's for sale. If there is a run on the gun for some reason, then there is a chance there will be more A300's sold than there are available.
As CajunLawyer noted , you basically came out of the deal with what you paid for. Lesson learned and not much skin lost.

For online purchases I have a special credit card just for that that uses one time codes, so once the purchase goes through that cc number is dead. I purchased magazines from an online seller a few years back, a total of like 75 Beretta 92 mags, all OEM in new condition, when I got the package it contained only 40 mags and they were used. I called them and got the run around so I called the CC company, sent them pictures of the ad and the package and contested the sale, within 24 hours they had put the money back in my account. The next day I got a call from the dealer upset that I didn't give them time to make it right, I told them you get one shot to make it right then I let the system handle it, he then told me to send the mags I had back to em, and I told him as soon as they emailed me a shipping label, which pissed him off even more.

Absolutely not true. Follow their process and they will help you out on anything of importance. You do not contact them for minor issues, but this thread would have assured they the sellers were banned on Gunbroker if not settled.
Problems - first contact seller, second, if necessary put a hold on the credit card transaction, if not settled, then contact Gunbroker.
