I found some of this Federal Syntech 9mm on sale for $189.00 per 500 and decided to give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised when I hit the 8 inch gong at 25 yards offhand 10 out of 10 times with my 3" Sig P365. For me that is unusual at that distance with that gun. Have you tried this ammo? What was your experience?

Syntech is what I usually use. I find that it is a bit cleaner than "normal" Federal ammo. I have had zero issues with it out of either a Glock 19 or a Ruger SR9.

I’ve used the bullets in handloads. Worked as expected, meaning bad accuracy in the Glock, but fine in other brands.

Last year I shoot 500 115 gr LRN coated bullets.
I am about to buy 500 124 gr LRN coated and post my findings
on the reloading thread.

Many years ago I loaded up the 125 Eggland bullet in .356, .357 & .358 dia.

If the bullet is the correct Dia. for your barrel, they shoot, great.

By any chance, have any of you shot any coated lead HP bullets
into gel or water, to see how they expand?

Just to see, IF they might work out for a SD load?

I have tried some Syntech 9mm defense rounds in my Shield and P365 they work great. I have some retro .38spl Nyclads that I covet and will not shoot 125 gr HP 158 gr +P SWCHP and best of all S&W Nyclad 158 SWC +P The Syntech is just a modern version. The Nyclad as we all know are no longer available so they are as easy to find as a unicorn.
