Are MC or FMC rounds considered ball ammo? What exactly is the difference between these rounds and FMJ? Thanks.

Usually, FMJ (full metal jacketed) isn't. The jacket doesn't cover the base or bottom of the bullet.

MC, FMJ and ball are usually terms used to mean the same thing.
