Holster suggestions for a G19 with a TLR1
I'm looking to purchase a G19 to carry on duty. I currently carry a G17 or a G26 with no light. I want to go ahead and mount a TLR-1 on it and will need a good comfortable holster. I like the kydex holsters and also use a Fobus on occasion. I currently use the Blackhawk Serpa for both uniform duty and plain clothes duty.
I'm not apposed to leather but it would br great if Blackhawk had a serpa that would accomodate a TLR-1. I don't think they do though. I have a strong desire to keep all my stuff very similar in operation if not identicle.

Safariland makes a version of the 6280 for the TLR-1. The various holster bodies all use the same UBL (Universal Belt Loop). Make sure your loop closely fits your belt. I believe there's also a concealment type belt loop available for the series.
This holster system doesn't use the same retention device as the Serpa. Watching folks with other types of widget locked holsters in dayes of olde convinced me to never depend upon such things.

I have a Safariland 6360 that I have for uniform wear now, including the light. I like it as much as I am going to like any holster that has a enough room inside for a pistol AND a light. I removed the hoodguard. All in all it is a good holster. I am adapting it to the MOLLE locking system, my paddle and other attachments are backordered right now (left handed, takes forever)....should make it easy to switch between paddle, duty belt, and I am fixing up a rig in my patrol vehicle so I can mount it in there as well

Uniform carry or concealed?
For uniform carry I am totally sold on the ALS system as the best police duty holster ever made.
I used to carry the Serpa system, and I am even friends with the guy who desigend it, but I find the holster breaks easily and I no longer carry them.
For concealed carry I'd look at the Blade Tech holsters, top notch gear.

This will be for concealed carry. I'm currently using serpa's for uniform and also concealed. I have been in wrestling matches with 10-15s with them and also shoot IDPA matches out of them. No problems as of yet. But I'm sure if given enough time and the right circumstances I'll tear one up.
