Does anyone have any recommendations for a good Ankle Holster for the 442?

Personally I never found a comfortable ankle holster. Yet the best that worked for my needs is an ankle band, similar to a belly band but smaller.

It holds any type firearm and I can snug it up to my ankle to make a larger gun hold firm.

Another vote for Renegade. I've tried ankle rigs from Bianchi, Galco and even Alessi, and Renegade is the only one I can use.

I've used Renegade ankle holsters for many years. Kicked a heavy bag, been in foot pursuits and alterications, never had my revolver come out.

Renegade gets my vote.

Yes sir. For those of you unfamiliar with the Renegade, notice how the strong elastic strap is secured and tightly holds the gun in place from behind the trigger guard. To get the revo out, all you have to do is get a firing grip and tug up sharply. Nothing to unsnap.

Every time this comes up the forum is pretty well split between the Renegade and the Galco Ankle Glove. Both are excellent holsters for J Frames and like sized guns. My preference is for the molded leather of the Ankle Glove, but that's me. Take a look at both and see which you prefer.

My present holster is a Galco Ankle Lite, Galco doesn't make the Ankle Glove for the M&Pc. This holster has the same ankle strap as the Ankle Glove and is quite comfortable.

Cheers,
Sam

I sold the others, and kept the Renegade.

For me, the Galco REQUIRED the use of the optional calf strap, while the Renegade holds snuggly (and comfortably) without using any additional hardware.

My Renegade differs from the one above, as the holster is all neoprene, with an open top (no strap). The revolver has never shifted.
