What's your favorite concealed carry firearm? Pics?
I've owned so many handguns in my life I couldn't count them. I've carried on and off duty for 15 years. Which means I have had a firearm on my person nearly every waking hour for 15 years! Never have had an incident where I even had to draw my weapon, thankfully (off-duty that is). Off duty I've carried everything from a piece of **** Raven 25 to a fine tuned Wilson 1911! However the gun that I ALWAYS come back to and feel most comfy with is the S&W 642. Not much done to it. I did the trigger myself and mirror polished all the stainless parts. Yeah it's got "the lock" but that's never really been an issue for me. Just wanted to share and to see other's carry pieces.
For some reason I could not post a pic at this time? Wouldn't allow me to attach it!?

This little LCR has quickly become my favorite. It's much lighter than my S&W 908, and easier to conceal. This target was the first
15 rounds I fired, and the first time I'd shot a snubby!

Have to admit that the LCR is getting harder to resist! I'm very intrigued...it does seem slightly bulkier than a J-frame though.

Now that it's summer my current favorite is a former Michigan
State Police M649 back-up gun (BUG.)
I like it so much that I picked up 2 more former MSP M649's (no dash) on Monday and
another former MSP BUG yesterday, only this last one is a two-tone M38 Airweight.

Mine is a SW1911 Pro Series Sub Compact. I love that gun more every time I take it to the range. The frame is lightweight and carries great.

This one goes everywhere with me in retirement. 442 .38 in a battered inside the pants holster made by Vic Perez, Burbank, CA.
Bob
This 649, which I won shooting in my first PPC match with the LAPD team, is now in semi-retirement. It wears John Hurst cocobolo stocks.

I'll admit I swich it up quite a bit between various semiautos and Smith revolvers...since this is a S&W forum I'll show these two, the DAO 3" Model 65-5 gets carried and banged around the most. The 3" Model 13-2 gets carried some but babied a bit more. Holster is a leather/kydex hybrid by Michael Brown here in the Phoenix area.

S&W M37 airweight 1968 model
I really like this little 37. I use a Bianchi 5 B H S&W chief OWB. Hides nice and I don't do to bad shooting the gun. Easy to draw from that holster. I usually carry one speed loader in a Bianchi Executive holder, but not always.
Peace,
gordon
Or sometimes, a 65-4 4" in an Alessi belt slide. Holds it in nice and tight even with the target grips.
I don't I'm gonna be able to attach my pics for some reason.?

For over 40 years I have never carried only one handgun. Before I was hired, On or Off duty, or now that I am Retired.
For a primary my favorite is a Colt Commander in 45 ACP, [what most people call the Light Weight Commander]. I would NEVER consider anything smaller for a Primary...
For a second gun, a S&W Airweight Bodyguard in 38 Special has seen a lot of use.
These 2 handguns have been my EDC for many, many years.
Depending on the situation I might go to a Govt. Model 1911 and carry the Commander as a No 2, or maybe even carry 2 S&W 44 Mags...
Bottom line is I always carry a 45 ACP or a 44 Mag as a Primary and then carry a suitable No2, and even maybe a No3...

Mostly I carry a 342.
(It seems to be the style now to include some cheesy taktikool 'combat folder' in gun pix. Not having such a thing I made do with a Randall Gambler.)
Regards,
Pat

Just open a Photobucket account, upload your images and copy the "IMG" code, paste the code into the "Insert Image" box in the "Reply to Thread" box on this forum. Easier than Paris Hilton.

While looking for a Model 649-3 for another member here I
placed a WTB ad on a local gun forum and got a hit on a M649.
It turned out that the guy who contacted me is a MSP LT. that
works at the same post as a family friend. Since that first deal
we've done a couple of others, with, I'm sure, more to come.

Favorite (2 ) carry
The Walther ppk/s 380 with corbon DPX 80 grain. Not S&W Walther but made by Interarms. I change everyday from 380 to S&W 3913 carry, a sweet semi-auto 9mm.

642 with cocobolo Spegel boot grips, loaded with 135gr SB-GDHP, and carried in a customized Wraith IWB holster by Seth's Gun Leather. Strips are usually carried in a Simply Rugged pouch on my belt and a Sideguard pocket pouch. I'll occasionally carry a Safariland Comp-I speedloader or two in Split-Six pouches, but I prefer the strips.
I also have a Sideguard Quick Clip holster, but I haven't gotten around to taking a picture of it. A very nice holster, but I still prefer my Wraith. I also have a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster, but I rarely pocket carry; I usually use it as a bedside holster.
I thought I'd show this, too:
This was 25 rounds in 5-shot strings fired 2-handed, off-hand, at 10 yards, as quickly as I could maintain a rough sight picture. Ammo was 132gr PMC FMJ.

Most often my dehorned S&W md 37. Sometimes an old but very
reliable Beretta md 1934 .380 or even a .25 Beretta mousegun.

Mine was a Glock 27, and I know you don't want to see a picture of an ugly Glock, LOL. It really is a great gun, and I shot it better than my Glock 22 for some reason. Better fit in my hand. Anywho, my son got his carry permit last November, so I gave him my Glock 27 as a Christmas present. I miss it, but now my son has a great carry gun. I was going to get another one, but wanted to explore other options. Now I am carrying a shiny new Shield in 40 S&W. I think it shoots better than the Glock 27, IMO, and is definately pertier
Oh, and I shouldn't leave out the Spyderco Mini Manix PE. Awesome knife.
Nooz.
