Rodek Leather Works - Updated with Pics
So, I placed an order this week. While waiting, I was hoping you guys could post some pictures of his work so I can pacify myself while he makes my stuff.
What ya got??
OK, ****** cell phone pics. I was in a hurry.
The order came in today, Tuesday. Money was recieved on Thursday, order shipped on the next day. Pretty fast turn around!
The belts are beautiful! I really like the #15 patterm.
The two holsters are the belt slide with thumb break. One is for my model 10, the other for a...GLOCK. It's not mine, though. It's for a friend... Seriously.
I hope you all enjoy. I think Mr. Rodek makes some really nice looking stuff.

That looks like a nice copy of Roy Baker's Pancake. Hard to beat that design.

Those are my holsters that Ed made for me. I think you'll be happy with his work. He made the Glock holster in 1998. Still looks like the day he made it and still holds its shape. He made the S&W 63 holster about the same time. I've worn the Glock holster more when I was working but the S&W holster has had harder use. I carry it exposed when hunting so it's gotten covered with snow, rain, and drug thru briars, hung up on fences and banged against posts. Still as good as new.
I've known Ed for over 30 yrs. He's made a lot of holsters and other leather work over the years. He's made a lot of holsters for our sworn people over the years and now that he's retired he's branching out more to the public. Ed has made quite a few holsters for people on this forum and others. I've lost count of the number of holsters he's made for S&W 63 and AMT .45 Backup. He used my guns for moulds so many times for those guns that he eventually made moulds for them. He works out of his basement and is a 1 man shop. Ed is a perfectionist. If it's not perfect then he won't ship it.
You won't have to wait long. If you ordered this week you'll probably have it next. Definitely none of this 6 weeks plus backlog.
Here's Ed's website.
Rodek Leather Works, Inc. - Home
This is an old flyer that Ed use to send out. I don't know if he's updated it. If you want something made out of leather just give him a call or drop him an email. The flyer are just examples. He has also done custom work if someone wants something different or not gun related.

Sure do. If he doesn't have one he can borrow mine. I can have it to him today.

He doesn't have one. I asked. Might let him know you do. Thank you for the generous offer.
Unfortunately my buddy that wanted one, changed his mind...
Maybe he'll rethink when the order comes in.
My Dad has a 6.5" SSS. He might want a holster after this order arrives.
I'm getting a Belt Slide with Top Break for my new-to-me S&W Model 10, 2" nickel plated. Mahogany with a #15 pattern 1.5" belt.

I'm thinking I want a pocket holster for that model 10, too. Ever seen Ed make one? Mostly want it to cover the hammer spur, so it doesn't cut up my pants. It fits pretty good in the pants I regularly wear. It just needs to keep it from rotating in the pocket and shield the hammer spur.
Didn't see one on his website, and haven't asked him, either.

I've heard him talk of making pocket holsters but don't know for what guns and I haven't seen them.
If your friend decides he wants a holster for the Single Six then let me know and I'll drop mine by Ed's place. Mine is 4-5/8" but he'll be able to do a 6.5" too. He's made some cowboy rigs that look good.
It's hard to beat his price. He uses heavy leather and everything is done by hand so he's not making a lot of money on his stuff.

I REALLY appreciate your offer. Once we get this order in (2 holsters and 3 belts) his mind might change.
Got a belt for him, one for my Dad, a holster and belt for me, and a holster for another buddy.
I really think I'll want a pocket holster. Dad might want something, too.
His prices are VERY nice. Ed was very good at responding to emails and very thorough. Very professional.

Small update: Mr. Rodek received my check Thursday, had 2 holsters and 3 belts in the mail (fedex) Friday afternoon. That's pretty fast!
It takes Midway USA longer to box up an order and send it!
I'll update when I receive the order Wednesday.
