Anyone carrying a Model 10 as your daily CCW?

Not a M10, but I often carry a 4" 686 in a Remora IWB...stays put and conceals better than you think a med. frame would.

Also carry a 3" GP100 in a Simply Rugged pancake....great IWB holster for a bigger gun.

Hope this helps...

Never tried carrying a 4" revolver concealed....but I've carried a 3" K-frame many times in a Milt Sparks VM II.

If the extra barrel length won't bother you when sitting down it should be pretty easy.

My carry gun now is a Ruger SP101 .357 Mag. but there was a time when
I carried a Model 10 bull barrel .38 Sp. The old Heiser FBI holster shown
here is what I carried it in at about 4:00. Very excellent fit and comfort,
but I wore a suit jacket then so it covered it quite well.

I carry my Model 10 and Model 642 during the fall, winter, and spring before it gets too hot and humid here in East Tennessee.

Model 10-5 2inch in a IWB Bianchi 3s for most days and a OWB Safariland Model 28 (pancake) during coat weather.

Sorry read the original too quickly and missed the 4 inch part. Both holsters in the appropriate barrel lengths would still be a good choice.

I have not carried a revolver as a primary defense weapon since the mid- to late-70s, when I switched to the 1911 in .45 ACP. The J frame was a back up, but was a pocket pistol. That said, the 4 inch Model 10 with standard barrel in an inside the pants holster (remember the little soft suede ones with the metal clip?) worn in front of the hip bone in sort of an appendix type position worked very nicely with a covering garment. The holster almost sort of swiveled when sitting. I was never concerned about risk to "personal equipment" as the revolver had a long DA pull before there was a "bang." :)

By the way, the Condition One 1911 never, ever rode in that position!

Use to carry a M10 but in 2". That was too large a frame for me to carry 12 hours a day so I went to a J Frame (same loads only one shy). Because the 2" J is so compact I never have to leave home without it.

Yes indeed..
Model 10-8- 4 inch in a pancake holster under a untucked shirt. It does everything I need it to. It stays put, out of the way and if needed, will hit what it has to.
If it is raining, I take my model 64...
No Tupperware guns here...
