Uncle Scotty Stories. My First LAPD Duty Pistol
Interesting look at Police sidearm during the 1970's
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this so mods please move if not.
I came across this on the Northwest Firearms Forum and thought it might be of interest here. "Uncle Scotty" discusses his unusual bull-barrel Model 67 and the progression of speedloaders they were issued over the years.

I've meet and talked briefly with Scotty a couple of times. He's a great guy, humble and very knowledgeable.

Thanks for posting that video, very interesting. That's the first time I have seen a quad-speedloader case.

That's the way that it was. My Mustang grips were an issue for one of my supervisors. Looking uniform aced being prepared.

Oldbrownhat ... Many thanks for posting. A very well shot/produced video and Scott’s comments with reference to the need for accuracy with a revolver, as well as what can go wrong when firing them, are well made points. Would love to hear him instruct sometime..

I knew several revolver shooters who used the quad setup. I think it was a local thing.
It was made by a local company, Tex Shoemaker and Sons. A top quality outfit that unfortunately went out of business some time ago.
