Anyone have experience with this pistol?
I have been looking at this one for a couple days. It comes with 1-10 & 2-14 mags.
Famtastic sights!
$500.00
The only reservation I have with it, is that it's slide lever is hard to manipulate.

Well, you're supposed to slingshot it - it's a slide lock, not a slide-stop lever. Not an IPSC toy, amigo!
The RAMI is great in 9x19, at least mine has been. I messed with the stocks on mine to make it a bit friendlier for pocket-carry. Got it for $260 used a couple of years ago, and it's proven to be one of the better guns (and deals) I've had. I carry it with +P 124-grain Gold Dots that do 1178 fps/382 fpe from the 3" tube.

Hi Erich,
Long time no talk to.
Slingshot it?
My observation:
Empty mag with slide back. It is very difficult to release the lever to make the slide go foreward. {is a loaded mag easier?}

It has been a long time!
This design didn't originally even have a slide lock, IIRC. The one that got engineered onto it is like the micro-Glocks', designed to allow a user to lock the slide open during unhurried operations, but not really intended to allow quick manipulation of the slide. As with the micro-Glocks, slightly retracting and releasing the locked-open slide with a sling-shot motion after a full mag has been inserted will get the gun back in the fight right quick.

I own one and I love it. Very accurate for a smaller automatic. I have read that the .40's were not as reliable because of mag issues, but I have had no issues with my 9mm.
This is a good website on the CZ's

While I own several CZ's I don't yet own a RAMI. From what I've read the .40 S&W model has more than a few reports of problems.
On the other hand the 9x19 model like Erich's seems to be just as reliable as any other CZ pistol.
When I get a round to getting one it will be a 9x19.

...and I bought it in yours, Erich.
It's been awhile since I have had a 9mm. My last favorite was a Browning HP. {a long time ago}.
I'll try your Gold Dots as well. Thanks for the help, my friend.
...and Dave & Richard; I've never had much interest in the 40 cal. The 9mm (in the right loads) will do the job. I think we have all chose the right calibre.

The hammer while carrying?
On belt: Down, halfcocked or cocked/locked?
Pocket: Same question? ... but isn't it a little heavy/awkward?

I have read that it was intended to be carried on the half-cock notch (!), but I carry my hammer down, regardless.
It is a bit heavy in the pocket, and only works with some pants. The new stocks I made for mine help a great deal with the pocket-carry/draw.

Dave, Richard & Erich,
I shot my Rami yesterday. 50 rounds with no failures to feed. Accuracy was dead on!
This is one slick little gun!
Any holster recomendations?

Very nice to hear!
I use a Mika IWB and a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster for mine, and neither of these is the perfect solution. The Mika holster is very good but bulges a bit more in my waistband than is ideal due to the placement of the clip over the thickest part of the gun - I think an offset clip would have suited better. The DeSantis Nemesis works okay with the gun, but not outstandingly.
It's difficult to find holsters for this gun, in my experience.

I have a IWB from Hazel leather and it is a good holster. I have a cheaper nylon one for OWB carry, but I will eventually replace it with one from Hazels. Glad you like your RAMI, they are one of the best guns you don't hear much about.

Erich, I asked Bob Mika to make an offset clip IWB holster for my 586 and it's great. If you ask, he will make one.

I USED to own a CZ40P, which was a 40 cal built on a P01 frame. The gun had reliability problems, which appear to eminate from the excessively steep feed ramp. Even with 18# springs, the slide would fail to go all the way forward about 1 shot per magazine, regardless of ammo. You have to push the slide forward with your thumb every now and then. Accuracy was excellent.
The CZ75B in 9mm is in my experience excellent. I bought one used and it too failed to fully seat cartridges. I replaced the recoil spring with an 18# spring and it worked perfectly thereafter. Feed ramp angle is ok. No further problems, but finally decided that Im simply not into 9mm semi autos and sold it.
If you want a semi auto, why dont you buy a S&W? They work. The CS9 and CS40 are good guns.

I'm sure that the CS9 is a good one but the Rami was asking for me to take it home.

Where can I find somemore 10 rd magazines?
I like them better for CC.

Yep, that group looks about right.
The 10-round mags are a PITA to find cheap. I watched gunbroker for them until I found enough. They run pretty dear new - I think Top Gun Supply had the best price when I was looking at them last year, but that certainly could have changed.

Used to have a RAMI in nine. That is, until my oldest, married daughter decided that it was so cute that she absolutely needed it. What's a dad to do?
While I had it it worked flawlessly and was a tremendous CC choice. I am going to get another one.
