In the case of a good old leather holster from a maker no longer in business, does someone have a suggestion for a leatherworker who might be able to do repairs?
Believe it or not, I'm not having any success finding a good cobbler shop even in the big city to repair leather tool carriers, much less the more-sensitive holsters with broken stitching.

Yeah, well...
There're some folks who think I'm pretty good fooling around with wood (after 37 years, I hope I learned something), and some more who think I can be allowed near metal, and some more who think I'm okay with that electricity stuff, but leather, maybe not.
I can repair my toolbelt stuff a little, but that's as far as I think I should go. That's why I was asking for recommendations.

CherryRiver;

I accept local repairs and restorations of holsters, English & Western tack and saddles. Shoe shops are usually, not always, but usually not a good choice for repairs. Their machinery is different, among other things, and they often lack any understanding of the articles that need repair.

If you email me with the details of what you need to have repaired, I'll try to help you out.

I've got a shoe repair shop nearby that does a good job of restitching holsters....

Yeah, I think you need to look a little harder for a shoe/boot repair guy in your area. We've got a little shop here and he has repaired holsters, belts and even a saddle for me.
