Got it in my hands yesterday, and here's what I got:

1969 Colt Agent

The action is fantastic "as is"!

I've already cleaned and re-oiled the stocks (Howard Feed'n'Wax is the secret).

It's headed to the gunsmith Tuesday to have the hammer removed for bobbing and to be plastic bead blasted for DuraCoat.

I'll probably just put a Tyler T on it.

This sure has become a lot of fun!

I like that colt very much.... I know this goes without saying but make sure you show us the after pics....

I am certainly a S&W guy but a friend of mine brought his Father's Colt Agent over to do some research on and I really got a chance to appreciate it.

Enjoy that gun, I certainly would....

Good project gun Doc! For comparison here is a 1970 Cobra I added a factory hammer shroud and the Tyler for pants pocket carry. Unconcerned about the worn finish.
Great shooters. Have fun with the project!

You have to do what makes you happy!!!!!!
Oh I think the second colt is cool are those Badger grips?

I had a 3rd Gen. DS that I carried in an ankle holster as a backup when I was on the Dept., but sold it and then regretted it. I always thought about getting another one, so last year I bought one just for old times sake.
