Post Reduced noise and recoil 12gauge shotgun shells

Where can I obtain some of the above? I need to teach some ladies how to shoot a Winchester Riot Gun.

Thanks

These are not defense loads. I have used them in my double guns, and the 2.5" shells will cycle through my Hi-Standard riot gun. I haven't tried the 2" shells in the pump.

I use the 2" 12 gauge shells for squirrel control in my yard. The neighbors don't mind me shooting, and they certainly don't care how many of the vermin I kill, but I figure it is more "neighborly" to use something that just goes "boom" instead of "BOOM!" early on a Saturday morning. They do a good job out of my Stoeger Coach Gun on the squirrelly little varmints.

The Polywad factory is just in the next county. They only do mail order, but the owner gave me a tour once. Good people.

You can pick up some WINLITES at walmart. They are low recoil, low noise loads. about $8 a box. They are the AA loads in the black box.

Winchester makes a low noise low recoil 2 3/4 12 ga . load that I have a few cases left over from my days of cowboy action shooting . I use to get them at my local gun shop for just under $70.00 a case . I was realy impressed with them as they were much softer than any trap load I tried. I used them mostly in my 1897 Winchester pump

I wonder if anyone loads a low recoil OO buckshot shell with less pellets and under a 1000fps.
Seems like a good load for home defense that could be comfortable
for new shooters and people who are recoil shy.

Yes and no.... There are Low Recoil Buckshot loads out there, but they are in the 1100 fps. range.
Then again...there might be a slower load that I'm not aware of.
Come to think of it, there might be a 1050 fps. load out there....

A 20 gauge youth model, 870 pump is my home defense gun and it would seem to be a great gun to train the ladies, if not starting them on a smaller .410 guage.

I'm another fan of the Low Noise/Low Recoil Win AA 12 ga. I hate recoil. I use them for cowboy action and at Women on Target for first-time female shooters. Look for the feather on the box. I get them at WalMart for $7.77/box.

I may have to look into the Winchester AAs, and definitely the "Vintagers". I've got a turn-of-the-century LC Smith SxS that I desperately want to use at least a few times.

Not all of the short shells, especially the Aguillas, will work reliabably in every pump action gun.

find someone that loads shotgun shells and down load them, i have loaded some 12 ga that had very little recoil but i think a 12 ga would still be loud!
