Here in the Llancer household a S&W M-60 slipped into the safe. I don't know how to transfer pictures from my phone to this 'puter or I'd be pleased to show it off. I'm fairly certain most everyone here knows what an M-60-15 looks like, now just stretch the barrel out to 3 inches and you have it. It does have the S&W rubber grips and they are still supple.
Yes, it has the lock and since I don't have a key to fit it, I guess it'll never be set. Thank you very much in advance for your very kind offer, but I just don't see a need for a key.

Umarex Notos - air rifle in .22. It's been decades since I had any kind of "pellet gun"... they've come a long way!
Pretty impressed so far. Rated for 700fps, and put a pellet through 1/2" plywood like it wasn't there. Reasonably quiet with the integrated moderator (suppressor). Still waiting for my compressor to show up, so I've only fired it enough for a quick 10 meter zero and one 5 shot group.
Main mission will be pest control on our property, and I expect it will be more than adequate.

I'm not doing good. I told the wife that I was thinning the herd. In the last 30 days I bought a first year 1956 pre 29, Colt PP in 38 S&W and a Colt DS in 32 NP.

15 month membership in the Putnam County Gun Club in Eleanor, WV. Multiple sheltered outdoor ranges. They host USPSA, NRA Smallbore, Precision Pistol, High Power Rifle, Steel Challenge, and Cowboy Action shoots. Going to make being retired a lot less boring.

Remington Model 81 Woodsmaster
So yesterday I stopped in to say "Hi" at the shop I worked at up until I retired in '22. After making the rounds of all my old compadres and getting all the hunting and fishing stories out of the way, I wandered over to the used gun rack, where I was stopped dead in my tracks at the sight of this beautiful old Remington rifle. Now, I've seen, handled, cleaned and sold a good number of 81s over the years, but I've rarely seen one as clean as this. Plus, it's chambered for .300 Savage. Plus, it has the vintage Redfield receiver sight mounted on the back of "the hump". Plus, the price. They had this gun priced at $299.99. I didn't hesitate a second. So I got out my ID and filled out the form and they ran the background check and I passed it instantly and they finished up the paperwork and then he rang it up and... I had completely forgotten. When I retired, the store owner had, in appreciation of everything I had done for him, extended my employee discount in perpetuity. Not gonna say exactly what I paid, but I did have change left over from $200.

It's been a long, long time since I found such a crazy good deal. I honestly never really thought about owning one of these awesome old rifles, but once I got it home, I can't imagine parting with it. It dates to November '48, and it cleaned up very nicely. Now, I just have to find a box of .300 Savage ammo.

Had no intention of introducing three new members to the stable this week, but sometimes things happen...
I'd been looking for a 4" Heavy Duty Transitional, and found one right here on the forum. The next morning, I was browsing one of the auction sites, and found a 19-3 snubby. I'd been looking for one to replace the 19-3 snubby I'd used to build my Smolt, but they are very rare in the local shops, and prices on the auction sites have been a little crazy. This one was at reasonable opening bid, had 2 hours left, and no bids. In the end I was the only bid.
The HD came with later Magnas that were a perfect match for my Pre-20, so I swapped them over and put some Elk stags on the Transitional.
When I went to pick them up, the shop had just gotten in a Swedish Mauser, something I'd also been looking for. Again, thin on the ground here, so I brought it home as well!

If you take your charging cord and plug it into one of the ports on your 'puter, you can transfer the pics you want.

I picked a box (500) 230 gr swaged lead .45 bullets at a local show. The box had been retaped and the seller said he was selling as a box of 475 but he hadn’t counted them and they might all be there. I see them selling for about $90 a box. I paid $25.

My latest purchase was a brick of CCI small pistol primers for $6X.XX. It's going into the stash box. Plan on getting another. Got my eye out for deals on powder.

I picked up a 4” 66-2 and a 67ND the other day. Ran up to the range after work today and tried them out, both shoot great. Can’t have too many K frames.

A Pre-Model 40 Centennial "lemon squeezer",4 screw, flat latch, pinned bbl, smooth trigger, with Spegel boot grips just adopted me. Its not "purist collectable" as it was plated in chrome or nickel w/o orig grips or box, but it looks like it was done yesterday, no cylinder drag lines, 98%(but not original finish) ...so maybe chrome?
(No factory "N" stamps). looks like someone wanted a top shelf weatherproof pocket gun before stainless. Ser #100XX (early 50's?)
I couldn't walk past at 550.

I sold many Swedish Mausers (6.5x55) in the 90's around $125-150, in beautiful condition. I took one out to a "long range" i'm not a great shot but i could hit and dance a milk jug at 300 yards with open sights and military surplus ammo! Most accurate military rifle i ever fired! (for me- but i'm no "Military Rifle Expert))

Some reading material to go with my 6.5x55 Swede...
Also have some PPU ammo arriving today. Unfortunately, our range is closed for the remainder of the month for some dirt work.

New amazon G10 grips and WC mag well / mainspring housing for my Garrison. The factory thin grips were too small even for my girly hands. Plus a 3 pack of WC 47D mags.
The proliferation of inexpensive 1911 grip options on Amazon (w/ screws included too!) has been a welcome change. Makes changing up the look not hurt the wallet as much.

I picked up a 1931 vintage .38/44 Heavy Duty at a local auction yesterday. After many years I finally have a .38/44 in my menagerie, and being from 1931 it’s the perfect compliment to my ‘31 Model A.

Very cool addition! A nice 38/44 HD is one I'd like to add to my own stable.
FWIW, your collection (like mine) is actually a melange (a collection of miscellaneous unrelated things) not a menagerie, which is a collection of wild animals.
As the great Rushbo used to say, words mean things and specific words mean specific things...
Just sayin...
Anyway, congrats on your most recent acquisition of another fine example of S&W craftsmanship.

I picked up this 200th Year of American Liberty Security Six over the weekend. I had an SP 101 on consignment at a local shop and traded it "almost" straight across for this. There is a hint of a turn line, but otherwise it looks virtually new.
I think this will be much more fun to shoot with full power magnums than the SP.
Took lousy cell phone pics in a hurry before slipping it in the safe and going back to work.

I love Bi-centennial guns. I picked up a MkII Bi-centennial commemorative at the LGS last year...
I have very happy memories of 1976...

Dirty Harry in the house
Picked up one of my "Grail Guns" today. It is a pristine 29-2.
Older gentleman selling some of his collection and I was in the right place at the right time.
Now to find a presentation case and tools.
Gonna watch Dirty Harry tonight...

I went to Horror Freight Monday and got a 9 drawer rolling wood topped chest. Going to use it to mount a couple of Dillon loaders on with all the Dillon extras in the drawers... for the gun room we finished up. She wanted it to look pretty...so I let her pay for it!

I've got a couple of those chests, and they're a lot handier than I expected them to be. One I use as a moveable workbench, and it holds a lot of my electrical stuff (crimpers, strippers, connectors, etc). I mounted a benchtop drill press and my mini-lathe to the other and it carries my drill bits and lathe tooling as well as my taps/dies, brake line tools, etc.
