I bought one of these too. FUN little scattergun. Incidentally, the hinged joint in the middle of the lever really makes it more of a copy of the 1891 model, but they call it an 1887 for some reason.
Is yours new? If so expect to have to do a little "tuning" on it. They are notorious for poor ejection right out of the box. BUT the good news is that they are really easy to disassemble, and with 3 files you can slick one right up.
You need a fine cut triangular needle file to sharpen the extractor hooks (undercut them a bit), a big flat file to create a small bevel at the bottom of the breech block face and to dress the bearing surfaces of the rolling block assembly, and a small flat file to do a little cleanup and smoothing of the machine marks in a few places. With those 3 files and a little elbow grease you can have one running like a top in just an hour or so.
Look it up the internet, there are a couple of good videos on U-Tube.

Stopped for one left with two...
I went to my LGS and saw this Ruger New Model Black Hawk and sense I didn’t have a single action I decided to take it home.
While they were doing the paperwork I noticed this Winchester model 37 in 20 gauge and I couldn’t pass it up.
They both shoot great and the ol Winchester is in great condition.

Just did the paperwork on a reproduction (Uberti) 1875 Remington. Of course living in PRK I have to wait 10 days before I can pick it up.

I'll have to play catch up with pics, as this has been a busy week gun-wise. The taxidermist who had handled my transfers for the past several years stepped away from gun transactions due to new state requirements, which resulted in a shipment of a barrel-less Colt Official Police being redirected to a local pawnshop, which I had not realized handled firearms (most in this area do not).
When I stopped in to pick up the project Colt I noticed a 5" nickel 10-5 with faux pearls, a filthy bore and some milky spots on both sides. The marked price was reasonable (another rarity), so I made an offer, which they accepted. A little Mother's and a Lewis Lead Remover has the S&W looking nicer (need a shade more elbow grease in both areas - now if I could find that pair of PC magnas and the Tyler T-grip I left somewhere in the shop.
(SN check shows 1963-65 DOM and my PCs were non-diamond, so I added these instead)
This afternoon on the way to coffee I stopped by another shop, which was having a rummage sale. I picked up 3 boxes of Remington factory .280s, a set of Hornady titanium nitride 9mm dies and a Strong pancake holster for a 4" N-frame for $35 OTD.
My gun fund is depleted and I still need a barrel and hammer nose for the Colt. Barrel courtesy of Muley Gil and hammer nose on the way from Numrich. Once we start work I'll post before and after pics.

My ammo order came in on Tuesday but that's just consumables and 150 rounds are already gone. The SIG Sauer P220 stainless magazine that I found used is in great condition. It wasn't cheap, though.

Yeah, I made an ammo buy yesterday too.
1500 rounds brass cased 115gr 9mm FMJ for $0.12 per round
500 rounds brass cased 55gr .223 FMJ for $0.18 per round
I don't buy a lot of ammo these days, but when I can get factory ammo for just a penny or two per round more than it costs me to reload it myself it's hard to pass it up.

Purchased several boxes of .380 ACP ammo, a Sig P 230, and a Sig P 232 SL.
Photos are from the internet, not mine.

The last couple of days I've been picking up brass at the range I belong to. It's a police range so there is a lot of 9mm and 223. I started to save the 9mm and sell the 223 for scrap. In two days I've got around 1500 cases of 9mm and sold 21 pounds of 223 for $21.I went to my LGS and ordered a quick-change set-up for the Dillon SDB. It won't be long and I'll be loading up a storm for the new CZ!!!

Henry Long ranger .223
When, back in late March, I learnt that in the wake of the Christchurch shooting I was going to loose my Ruger Mini 14 I decided I still needed a .223 rifle. I did not really want a bolt action (my brother went the bolt action route ) so narrowed it down to either the Remington semi-auto or the Henry Long Ranger.
The detachable 5 round magazine of the Henry won out (besides I'm a sucker for a lever rifle ).
I was told that there were no .223 Long Rangers in the country but another order was due in 6 - 8 weeks and my rifle would be pre-ordered to ensure it made the consignment.
Unfortunately someone messed up and loaded .22's with the standard 15 round tubular magazines instead of the special order 10 round ones needed to comply with the new Kiwi laws. the consignment got turned back at customs. Everything including my Long Ranger made the trip back across to Pacific.
Eventually i was informed that the shipment was expected to arrive mid-late October. Last week my LGS called to say it had arrived. Today I was able to get down to the store and pick it up.
Also having arrived in store was a Lyman #2 tang sight for my Winchester '94 (I decided to go the traditional route instead of a scope). After signing away the purchase price I bought them both home.
The tang of the '94 will need to be drilled and tapped for the front screw of the Lyman. I will get my local 'smith to do that after the weekend (massive big gun show here Saturday and Sunday, he is flat out until then).
As for the Henry, inside the box I found a set of scope mounts and a hammer extension. After fitting the mounts I went to fit the 4 X 40 Tasco scope from the Mini-14 only to find that the only Weaver rings I have are high ones. They spoil the look of the rifle, so I will need to grab a set of low/mid height rings later in the week.
I'm not sure when I will get to shoot it in. We are setting up for the North Island Steel Challenge match next weekend, with the match starting the following Friday (I am entered in four divisions, Limited, Pistol Calibre Carbine, .22 Pistol and .22 Rifle), with the NI IPSC Champs two weeks later. I will have to schedule a day on the rifle range to sight in both the Long Ranger, the '94 and also my small ring Mauser .243 on which I have put a new scope.
And my brother has both his new .223 and 7.62 X 39 bolt action rifles he needs to get set up.

I got this Uberti 1858 New Army, barely fired, at a gun show in Gettysburg PA for a great price. It came with a conversion to .45 Colt, and since it was Sunday and I was his first buyer, he threw in a box of .45 Colt cowboy rounds. I just finished getting everything I need to shot it cap and ball. Maybe a trip to the range to fire it next week.

Got a real live Winchester 1892 Trapper with 15-inch barrel in 44 wcf manufactured in 1911. I was looking for an 1873 Trapper but this one presented itself so I had to get it. These are the coolest dang long guns!

Taller sights for my norinco 1911a1 project. I’m removing the standard low GI sights and installing the next size taller sights. And 14 mm LH thread protectors and muzzle brakes.

UPDATE ON 410
Browning Citori Superlight 410. Box and the goodies.
26” barrels fixed IC / Mod chokes.
Will attach pictures after I take it out tomorrow for quail
Deal was too good to pass up. Never had a 410 and not too sure that I am going to have any use for it.
Said the same about my first 28 gauge and now I own 3.
Took the 410 out for a quick hunt while the wife was not needing help.
Yes you can kill a wild rooster with a 410.
NOTE: This is a stunt I will NOT be repeating.
Bird was shot off a point an I let it get out to 20 yards when I shot. Two broken wings and a broken wing. Still very alive, Dog was on it very quickly but terminal performance left me a bit cold.
Limited to quail and doves now.

Getting a new Sig 226 Scorpion Elite in a few days, CA wait.
I wanted a standard capacity 15 rnd gun in 9mm. I want to put my German 226 up for posterity and use this. I would have been happy with a Glock 34 or 17 but I can only get 10 rnd mags for it unless the 9th circuit court decides in our favor on standard cap mags. I won't hold my breath on that happening. My German model was bought in the 90s and came with 15 rndrs and I got some more during freedom week plus a few 20 rounders.
Ok, seems like a lot for a 9mm and for me being a truck driver local it is. I think with the extras on it like the SRT, Sig nite sites, FDE Ceracote (sp?), and Houge extreme g10 grips, what would that cost if I bought a plain jane 226 and had all that done by professionals?
Here's a pic I stole off the net. I don't have mine yet.
Also it was on sale at Turners last week. I get weak kneed with pretty guns almost as much as pretty girls.

I just went to the other side of Sydney to a gun shop where I had ordered in some .380 acp ammo that was on sale. (I'm not sure if the discount made up for the petrol i used in getting over there (Lol). Bought 4 boxes in total. I also bought some cleaning supplies.

Found a good deal on a M&P 380 Bodyguard on gunbroker.
I've wanted a small 380 for a while, ammo for it is on the way from Buds too.

Just spending money on ammunition now. Guns are pretty much set up. I bought 2 cases of CCI Blazer...it shoots very accurately in all of my .22s. I picked up a couple of buckets of Remington Golden Bullets, the .36 grain HP for use in my S&W 617 and some Federal BYOB .36 grain bullets.
The .36 grains are good in the revolver. I've tried the BYOB and at last Sunday's Steel Challenge Match I was able to shoot through each stage without having to clean the cylinders once. I had no hard extraction like I normally get with a lot of different .22s

I think I may need help. I went on kind of a binge buy over the last month.
I ordered a S&W Model 10-8 LE turn in from CF online. Shoots well but it’s misfiring in DA for some reason.

When I went to my LGS to pick it up I always look over the used firearms they have on hand. They had a collection on consignment from an estate, fairly ordinary things. As they tried to sell me a pre war Model 10 I noticed a New Model Ruger Blackhawk. I already have a Victory Model so I passed on the Model 10 but I didn’t have a SA so the BH got me thinking. I went home and thought about it and called back a couple days later and it was still there so I told them to hold it for me and I bought it later that day.

Nice shooter, good deal. While I was at the LGS doing paperwork I saw a nice Winchester Model 37 in 20g and wanting to move the items they made me a bundle deal I couldn’t turn down so they added it on to the order. Both firearms were part of the same collection and the LGS had to hold them for 15 days before releasing them so I paid for them and came back later to pick them up.

Went to the range and except for the M10 DA issue all shot great. The M37 is so much fun and dead on clay targets.
Wait... there’s more.
My range had a huge swap meet over the weekend and I hadn’t planned on buying anything until I saw another Winchester M37 in 12g and couldn’t pass it up. Paid a little more than I wanted but still a good deal I think.
Ok I’m done (I hope) for a while. Time to go shoot some clays.

How about a Colt SFVI. For the uninitiated, that is a stainless Detective Special. Made for only 2 years I believe. It replaces a Magnum Carry I had to sell a few years ago. Came with original plastic box inside the cardboard sleeve serial numbered to gun. Only cost me about 2/3 of what it is worth.

Latest Purchase, Picked up today.
Gunbroker was flooded with these the past couple of months, so I decided to jump in. My TOTAL cost was $290 which I think is a pretty good deal.
Walther Colt FDE 1911 in .22lr.

I've also got a Colt SF-VI that I bought a couple of years ago. The trigger return feels a little slow to fully return when shooting slow..No issues when shooting fast.

Two Original Precision Lock Deletes in satin stainless for my 60-15 and 637. Got both installed last night, even with my 69 year old arthritic fumbling fingers. Also, a set of Altamont super rosewoods for my 617 should be in my mailbox at work Monday.

Got rid of the Glock 43X. Never even fired it. The more I read, the more I like bmy Shield 1.0. I'm a big fan of thin grips, but my Shield was a little too thin. Added a Hogue grip sleeve and the Shield is nearly perfect. Also, a holster from Clinger Holsters located in my home town of Van Buren Arkansas
Update: I didn't like the finger groove on the Hogue grip sleeve so I replaced it with a Pachmayr Grip Glove, no finger groove. Softer material and was much easier to install.

Bought this .32 last spring. Always wanted one, and it sure hasn't disappointed.
