Couple years back Ruger came out with a pistol type
handgun. Was fitted with a bi-pod...short little 10/22 rotary fed.
some of the stocks were flashly colors.

Anyone recall the model name..

Thanks in advance.

Here is a picture of my Charger, 10" bbl..Boringly accurate at 50 plus yards...

Looks like the Charger may be on it's way out at Ruger. Rumors amongst the Ruger-philes has been this one was being discontinued. Can't seem to locate it on the newly updated website but the link above still works....sorta. Click "view all models" and you get an error page.

Thanks everyone..reason I asked, I was at my brothers ranch over
New Years and his neighbor had one.
Accurate fun little Ruger.
They were bustin clays out to 50 yards or better.
Old gun shop next county over has/had one NIB last week.
May go check it out.

Couldnt you always change out the stock and barrel turn it into a rifle? Are is that illegal? I know they sale all kinds of parts for the 10/22 and looking at that it looks like a 10/22

The Charger is a pistol and will always be a pistol..Some of the parts are interchangeable with the 10-22..If the Charger had a shoulder stock, with the 10" bbl, it would then be a SBR.Short Barrelled Rifle..

The trigger may be a bit hard to overcome..It get's better with firing...

Well this thread caused me to do some investigating. I did not own anything semi-auto....before this morning. After trying a bunch of different avenues, I found a place that still had new Ruger Chargers in stock for $299.00. Should be at my LGS Thursday. Now finding Ruger BX-25 mags looks impossible. Anyone have any experience with aftermarket 10/22 25 round mags?

I cant wait to get this and have fun with it. Watched a bunch of videos today and checked a lot of other threads on modding these. Looks like options are almost endless...

Thanks for this thread.

Yes...I have 2 , Butler Creek Steel Lips, 25 rd mag's...They work great.. Should cost around 20 to 25 bucks..Make sure they are the Seel Lips...

The steel lip mags work fine, but the plastic lip ones wear out fast. The new ones that Ruger finally produced are great. If the trigger is too heavy, it is the same trigger as in a 10/22 rifle, so there are many video's on u-tube that show you how to do a trigger job.
