Default A couple M7 bayonets

I'm trying to round up a few bucks by selling some stuff at a gun show this WE. I found some .308 and 762X39. (only a couple hundred rounds) In the same box was a couple M7 bayonets with M10 scabbards. I bought them for a couple AR's I had before the '94 ban. I looked around and prices on them run all over. I'm trying to fund another pistol and if I can sell some stuff so much the better if I can sell them. Ones marked Ontario US M7 the other is plain no marks and both are same as far as like new and quality. Any idea what they're worth??

Thanks, Jim

I don't know squat about bayonets, but I got a good laugh from your sig line! Thanks and I hope you get a real response.

I see what you mean. I found prices from $44.99 to $89.00. I do know that Ontario was a Viet Nam era contractor, and the sheaths are period correct.

I personally would think somewhere between $40 and $50.

new and w/ the scabbard I would say $55 shipped is fair...

I've got a couple, plus earlier US bayos...but all were bought a while back...

Some are more collectible than others and can be worth a bit more than average. The same applies to scabbards. Retro AR guys can be as picky and as detail-particular as S&W collectors are.

You can do a Google search and find some websites that list the differences with photos along with values.

M8A1 scabbard would be more correct for Vienam issue. M-10 is too new. The M10 was phased in in the '80s I believe (although it existed in the '70s at least on paper).

Some of the really nice M8 and M8A1 scabbards are worth more than the bayos.

Most M7 bayonets are marked on the guard, not on the blade. Check the face of the guard for BOC, GEN CUT, etc.

O.K. Thanks much for all responses, and info. One is RM'ed Ontario on the guard the other is plain. The Ontario is clearly the better of the 2. The other is "almost" as good but must be a knockoff. I'll take them to the show and see whats up.
Normally I like to browse the shows but I don't like crowds like they're getting now and my legs ain't up to standing in line anymore. Fortunately the show is only 18 miles away.

Thanks again, Jim
