I got one a couple months ago. Realized it was too small for my hands, could be corrected with a longer trigger. Then decided it would be my future grandchildrens' first handgun.
Functions very well with standard .22 LR ammo. My GSG 1911-22 requires high power ammo to function reliably. Very nice, but I would rather have gotten an extra magazine instead of the soft case.

My favorite LGS got one in early last year, I saw it, and it was love at first sight! Mine went home with me that day, and has accompanied me on numerous trips to the range and field. It has never malfunctioned, eats any ammo I feed it (well, I don't use Remington anymore, can't say if it will like it or not, but that is an ammo problem that affects all my 22s, so I don't use it anymore). It is so light you almost forget it's there, and it has been surprisingly accurate. It is a great natural point shooter, too (it has become a favorite anti-snake gun, any rattler within 30 feet or so is liable to lose his head courtesy of a 22 hollow point, no second shot needed in most cases. It is very well balanced, is a true 1911 in design and construction, and is just a blast to shoot. I have very large hands, and have no problems with it, btw. The only drawback is that it comes with only one magazine, and it is darn near impossible to get additional mags. Oh well, it sure looks neat next to my full-size 1911s. If it is still at the shop (they go out quickly, and are very hard to get), I recommend you snag it.

I too fell head over heals in love with them. They (both long slide and short slide) don't sell well at my LGS so getting my hands on one is no problem. My problem is that I just can't quite turn loose with the $550+ that they are asking for the darn things.

Of two that I have handled both had a very bad trigger. Neat lil 22 if that could be corrected.

I have one and I really like shooting it. It is good accuracy wise.
I was at cabelas about 2 weeks ago and just happend to see they had 2 magazines on the rack. I bought them both. I think you will start seeing magazines.
I think it would be cool if someone started making a few parts to customize these things. Just a thought.
I had a holster made by Lobo Gun Leather for mine. That was a great addition to this package.
Great gun to teach a kid to shoot.

Get the GSG 1911 and don't look back.
Over 5,000 rounds and just keeps getting better!

I'm a die hard 1911 guy. When I first heard about the Browning, I knew I had to have one. That is until I finally got one in my hands. Too small, just felt wrong. I lost interest real quick.
For .22s, I'll stick with a full size and my Ciener conversion unit.

BROWNING
Well I picked it up today. Had to wait for an hour for the check to go through. really stupid -- so now, it was pourning down rain. Not to be deterred, off to the range. Still raining I kept 20 rounds inside the bottom of a coffee cup. Good enough for now. was using Federal bulk, which many of my 22's like. supposed to be about 60 tomorrow, before it begins to get cold again. Off to the range in the morning. Gun is somewhat lighter than I thought, but so be it. Funny, I had no problem with the trigger, as reported by some of you. One magazine, , no pouch etc. Have 5 magazines on the way. Oh, while I was waiting for the idiot check to go through, they sold three more. Now for a nice leather holster and some stag grips. THANKS EVERYONE for your input.

Lots of fun to shoot. I finally got 5 mags for mine and now it is better to play with. It requires skill to shoot well as it is very light. It is an excellent trainer for a 1911 to work on the basics like trigger press. Mine will eat any ammo you feed it.

Wingmaster, thanks for the suggestion about the
LOBO holster. I've got one coming, and it'll make for
easy carry.

I have the Umarex Colt 1911-22 rail gun, have had it for about a year and a half. It is the same size as my 1911 45, shares holsters is slightly lighter than my 45. Shoots great and is very accurate. Umarex offers three models the goverment, rail, and trophy, the trophy has adjustable sights. Also offers 10 & 12 round mags. If I rember correctaly they retail for about $400. Ausome plinker/ trainer, and great compony for my M&P 15-22.
Madd Matt.
