From the example my friend purchased not to long ago I have to say that it''s a jammer. It won't feed an entire magazine of bullets without some sort of hitch, and he was shooting BALL AMMO! It went back to Kimber and is better now but still not good enough to carry - at least in my book!
From the Kimbers I've seen down at my Range over the years they are FAMOUS for jamming and while they are beautiful pistols and seem like fine quality firearms, they are just NOT reliable. I have also noticed that the Ed Brown .45's are about the same - jammers! Again, beautiful pistols those Ed Browns are ( and quite accurate ) but they just are NOT reliable.
