H&K P7-M8....general price info???

They were designed around the 124 nato but seemed to work okay with 115s also....the theory on my old P7 site at park cities tactical was that the heavier bullet worked it's way forward in the mag and by the last round it would feed too far upward and catch on the hood of the barrel..

Thank you for the information, Sip. Mine is dead nuts on with the 115gr. FMJ out to 25 meters.

Regards,

Dave

Thanks again every body now I will have to wait till the M8's papa comes back from the sand, or find a PSP that is in good shape...As I always expected you find very useful info on this site...Considering the H&K sqeez cocker's wern't that widly owned and not often issued a lot of info available on this site.

About 7 or 8 years ago, I had to have a P7M8. I found one of the former German police guns with 3 magazines for $700. I took it to the range a few times and it was a great shooter, but the front of the grip frame and underside of the trigger guard got so hot after a few mags that I had to put on a glove to keep shooting. I sold it for what I paid a few months later and never missed it. Still not sure why I felt I had to have one.

If it got hot you must have a Euro model PSP they have the mag release on butt plate and don't have heat shield in trigger guard..Shoot fine but will get hot after a box of 50 goes through them.....The PSP sells for 600 to 800 and are fine with exception of heat problem....

Heat problem? Only for prolonged shooting sessions.

The P7s/M8s/M13s do what they were designed to do better than any handgun I've run across: easily to conceal, safe to carry with a round chambered, quick to present and fire, quick to reload and fire, accurate, minimal muzzle flip, tough, reliable. Did I forget anything?

You just about covered it DARN.......This thread I started is going to cost me money I can tell allready..........I can hear it now from my wife of 55 years...George! your retired why do you need another gun???,,,,,,,I guess I could answer Honey you are retired why do you need make-up.....On second thought I will stop while at least even.

Buy two on the sly. Give her one 'cause it's such a good, safe gun., "look" for another for yourself. Golly, you found one! :D Would that work?

I have owned two HK P7M8's over the past several years. Bought low $750 & sold each around $1500.

Picked up a nice H&K P7 (PSP), a while back, with a trade in and some $'s. All in all had around $450 into it. Won't sell this one. Could have sold it for a $1000, the price is just going up, since they are no longer mfg'd.

The mags for the PSP's run between $65 & $85.

The only difference between the P7 (PSP) & P7M8 is the mag release and the added heat shield in the P7M8. I am partial to the PSP version, less expensive, and it was the first of the series. Good deals where had a few years back when a few where imported form the German police force. Some where very minty, as was mine!!

Smith's wheel guns are my favorites!!!

Well I could try...Would be usless , she has listened to my gun BS for almost 55 years. Sort of like my new car fevor....She reads me like a book.....Now that I am truely retired I have to much time on my hands and not enough money to do all the hair-brained ideas I seem to generate. I have never learned how to grow old with any form of good sense......Wifes are not as gullable as we would wish....Darn !!!
