Ideas for wall mounting a shotgun
Hello everyone. I have a Mossberg 500 12 gauge that is in my closet in a zippered case. I would like to have the gun access able rather than in a closet. I live in an apartment and do not want to put holes in the wall to mount a gun rack. I have a 5 year old daughter so it needs to be out of her reach. My pistol is in lockable box she can not reach. What inexpensive ideas do you have for a grab and go solution for my wife and I yet safe for our daughter? Just FYI, I am not doing this because we live in a bad area, but rather for the situation in case it was ever needed. Thanks for the help.

A good place is install a couple hooks above the door frame inside the bedroom closet. You can't see it if you look in or even step in a short distance to look around. I know of no one who would think of stepping into a closet, especially if it is small, turning around and then looking up above the door. Nothing there to look for. Works for me, but I do lock them up when grandkids are visiting, it's a State law.

Good idea. Simple, out of reach for our daughter, and easy to lock with a key. Plus it is inexpensive. Thanks for the help.

I was a master plunderer by age six. I'd find anything not locked up.
Keep it under lock and key without supervision.

Houdini could get out. I could get INTO anything and became a family legend. Consequently I have a safe with a combination lock to keep kids out.
