Without the consideration of ammo cost, what for you is the most fun to shoot? I'm thinking of my next purchase and wondering if it's a pistol or rifle. Right now, I'm leaning towards a rifle in .17hmr. Have several 22lr rifles and a couple of 270's. Nothing in between those caliber wise. As far as pistols, .38 revolver, 9mm XDM, .40 M&P. I'm all ears.

My Henry .22 lever action rifle. It's more fun to shoot than ALL of my handguns (which includes a 1911 .45) and ALL of my rifles (which includes an AR-15).

My favorite is this 1911, but just about any 1911 brings a smile to most shooter's face because they are so easy to shoot accurately.

Holes in the bullseye are usually very satisfying to almost anyone. ;)

It would be a tossup between my Browning Hi Power & my Model 5903TSW. Both are easy to get on target & hold a few rounds. I believe though, that once I get the sights sorted out on a new to me 4506-1 that it will be a definite contender!

Rifles: CF Enfield No.4 Mk. 2
RF CZ 452 .22 cal

Pistols: CF S&W 66-1 2 1/2"
Colt Commander .45acp
RF Colt Woodsman Sport model

Of course, the wife makes me share. :)

Lots of fun guns, the all time favorite is the Ruger Standard Model my wife bought me for my 21st birthday -- 57 years ago. I have owned a couple of hundred guns since then, but always come back to it for a fun plinking time.

Rifle: a toss up between my M-1 carbine and my Marlin 1894 .357 Magnum lever action carbine.

Handgun: hard to narrow down a short list, but it would have to include the following: H&K PSP, P-7 (9mm), S&W Model 34-1 (.22lr), Rossi Model 720 (.44 Special), and S&W Model 66-2 (.357 Magnum). Sorry, no photos available for the rifles, but I've enclosed some for the handguns.

Regards,

Dave

maybe some kind of 223 you did say fun

This ^^^^
Besides my rimfires it would have to be one of my AR's.
Just fun to shoot for me and i can shoot all afternoon
and not get tired due to weight or recoil.
I currently have 3. A Colt 6920, A Bushmaster Varmint
with 20" fluted barrel, An old Colt A2 with a shorty
barrel.
But the rimfires are a blast to plink with. Probably put
more rounds thru my 10/22 than anything.

Handgun....6" 586. Smooth and accurate...love revolvers!
Long gun....1954 Marlin 336 30-30. Makes me feel like Chuck Connors and what's not to love about the sound of a lever! (I know...Chucks was a Winchester...probably a .44-40.)
