I'm seriously thinking of buying an Armscorp M14, in the 15,000 serial number range from a friend. His dad bought the gun about 15 years ago and it has been sitting in a closet since then. It has all U.S.G.I. parts, except for the receiver, and comes with two stocks, two flash hiders, 3 mags, and the barrel is a U. S. Springfield Armory dated 1/62. He is asking $1400.00.

Anyone have one, and if so, do you like it? I've heard they are good receivers, and this one should be around '91 or '92 I believe.

Bill ,
Is there an "A" prefix or just numbers and does it say NM above the serial ?

IIRC Armscopr M1a receivers were both sold as complete guns as well as receivers only with some being made in Md
and then somewhere else (Texas ?) .

Here is a link to a serial database on the M14 forum where you will find plenty of info on them using the search button.

IMO the one you describe is worth the ask in good cond.

BTW My Armscorp M14 is pictured in post 58

Bill, Im wondering if the NM receiver is rear lugged ?

Mine is a cast receiver but standard USGI spec and is excellent quality,
some slight cosmetic differences from a Springfield M1A but I love that its marked as an M14 .

No rear lug. Mine too is excellent quality and hopefully, in the near future I will get it out to the range to shoot.

I have one that was built into a very nice match quality gun by Roland Beaver of Old Corps Weaponry. It's one of those I won't ever get rid of.
