I bought it from a local gun dealer in my city and I upgraded the charging handle, lowered the trigger pull from 7lb to 5.5lb, Magpul front angle grip, Sig Sauer pistol brace and EoTech EXPS 3-4 sight. The weapon fires loudly!

I have one question, does the grip on the handguard make it an AOW?
Sweet. Looking at building one soon. Probably 10 1/2" barrel.

No sir, It's a AR pistol but not a SBR or Short Barrel Rifle as some people call it as. For me, since I am very tall 6'7 and if I wanted to get comfy handling the rifle I would have to get the pistol brace. If I wanted to make the weapon a Short Barrel Rifle I would have to change out the brace to a rifle stock and send in a stamp to the ATF and wait for it be approved or denied.

I know that if one puts a grip on on rail of handgun like say a glock it changes it's status to an AOW. I'm wondering if the magpul grip on an AR/AK does the same.
I have an M85 pap, I'm debating what I'm going to do to it...
Edit; Rick A cleared it up. Thanks.
No it is not illegal to conceal, but it is illegal as an unregistered AOW. Be Safe,As an aside, a vertical grip is ok so long as the overall length is 26" or greater to the end of the barrel or permanently attached muzzle device. This changes the status of the "pistol" to a "firearm" which is illegal to conceal unless registered as an AOW.
You mean it will help you handle the pistol ( not a rifle)? Be Safe,Depends if you want a front angle grip or a vertical grip. I like the front angle grip to be honest cause I have big hands a vertical grip won't help me handle the rifle. In your case go to a local gun store and try both front angle grip and vertical to see which one you like the best and go from there.

Nice build. I built an AR pistol in 7.62x39 with 7.5" barrel and sig arm brace. I did send in for the tax stamp to make it an SBR which just came back to me after four months. I do know shouldering the Sig brace isn't the most comfy thing in the world but it works.
Sent from my iPhone using TheChive - KCCO!
I know right the shouldering the Sig brace isn't the most comfortable thing to do when firing the rifle but it has to do. Someone should make a AR build thread with photographs I think it would be nice to have a thread like that.
