Smile Beretta BU9 Nano 9mm Pistol

Hi:
My Daughter came by with a PINK Beretta BU9 Nano Pistol that is a present from "A Guy".
The slide is blued with a all a pink frame.
When I first looked at it I thought ".380acp" but when I looked at the loaded magazine I saw "9mm" cartridges !!
Negative safety and a L O N G double action trigger pull !
First one of these I have seen /handled.
Opinions ?
Thanks,
Jimmy

I hope it shoots well. If it doesn't, maybe it will dazzle an assailant.

I do hope your daughter likes pink guns.

Some folk don't like the lack of slide lock.

My concern with all of the really small BUG autos is two fold.
1. Does it go bang reliably?
2. Can I get a get a master firing grip on it "first time every time"?

I have a PM9 that is as reliable as a pistol can be but I can't grip it fast. So...a 442 or a 642 is my always BUG.

I didn't realize the NANO had a long trigger pull. I thought it had a Glock-type trigger. If she can shoot it well, and the trigger works for her as I would hope that it does, all other things being equal (see above comments), she's got a nice little concealed carry pistol there.

For most of us it is not going to be a BUG - my 642, for example, is my primary. And sole gun on most days. Occasionally I'll strap on a belt gun and then the pocket gun becomes a BUG - but it's usual role is primary.

I have one (all black) and really like it for what it is. Accurate at short distance. Heavy slide takes up some recoil.
Very easy to conceal and carry. The Nano really disappears in the front pocket even with the optional lasermax laser.
I am not real happily with the long trigger pull but it's consistent.
Personally I don't shoot it too often, but if Maryland had CC it would be on me everyday (or a j frame).

The older ones like mine don't like 115 gr. bullets (FTE - stovepipe) but Beretta fixed that in the newer ones.
Since new I have had 100% reliability with my Beretta Nano using the heavier 147 gr. 9mm ammo.
For the record, I have not had any problems with the 115 grain ammo, but have read others have, mostly durring break in period.

They come with one 6 & one 8 round magazine.

I think it's a good choice for a younger woman.

Anyone have these on there BG380-nano-jpg

(Talon grip tape and Lasermax laser aftermarket add ons)

This does not surprise me at all. Most European 9mm pistols are designed around the 124gr NATO standard round with springs/mass to match. I've come across several European pistols that only just cycle with 115gr SAAMI ammo.
