One of my favorite folders was.........
...................a Puma Sergeant that I carried a lot. It was in a flap case on a nylon duty belt rig that I used for rough country when a fire destroyed the house and every thing in it.
Poking through the ashes and rubble found this knife. I guess the case saved it some what, that, and the wet carpet from the fire hoses. The scales were some sort of synthetic material, and after the toasting they didn't look or feel to good. For years I told myself I should get them replaced.
Finally got around to dropping it off at a friends shop. He is a Master Smith so didn't really think he would have time, or want to mess with the job. Well he called the other day and told me it was ready, and he surprised me by putting some nice toothies on it. Brought her back to life he did.

I bought this Puma Backpacker when I was about 16 or 17(if memory is correct). Made the pouch for it and carried it many miles. Still have them.
Your's looks great.

I have a Puma Whitetail, which is the Prince with white Micarta scales. I don't think they imported or even made many.
It looks like a larger version of the one in the OP.
The scales have turned a little tan, but it's still a pretty knife.

A friend gave me this Case folder with a broken tip and no scales. I made these replacement scales out of a piece of NASA instrument panel micarta.
I would like to know which launches were associated with this piece of micarta.
