Benchmade what a great knife
I have collected and carried Benchmade knives for a long time, but this one takes the cake.
Benchmade model # 940-1 S90V steel with carbon fiber sclaes. Picked it up for $180.00
Lets see your Benchmade knives.

I use to carry one of their autos but the spring broke. I bought this one just because I liked the looks of it.

I've almost always carried just a basic Case pocket knife for most days. I'm debating a Benchmade purchase, but not sure of which model. Don't really like serrated blade, and I want one that can also serve as a work knife. I work in a Chrysler parts department, so it needs to be capable of serving duty in there without quickly losing it's edge. I'd also like it to be a last ditch backup weapon, if that's possible as well. I've looked at two different sizes of the Griptillian, and tend to lean towards the larger. I'm not as knowledgable on these as I'd like to be, but I know I want a good, lifelong tool and a possible defensive weapon if both is possible out of one.

here is a group of my current users. 2 of them are the mini Griptillian, you can't go wrong for the money. Benchmade's axis-lock is the strongest lock out there.

Benchmade Mini-AFCK. A great knife that has been a companion for many a weary mile.

Absolutely love my Mini Griptilian, except for the Tanto blade. Consequently it's packaged up and ready to mail to a forum member here on Tuesday. My Drop Point Mini Griptilian is set to arrive Tuesday. Hopefully it's as good as my Tanto with the blade shape I know I'll like better. My deep carry clip I got for free from Benchmade will go on the new knife. I feel naked without my Benchmade.
Stay safe, John
1/20/15 got my new Mini Grip with the drop point, perfection! Much, much better for my uses. Couldn't believe how much I missed it, only a little more than 3 days but I use it often.

That 940 Osborne is pretty nice. I have lusted after one ever since I saw one with green aluminum scales, but the OP's is really tasty.
I have managed to accumulate a few Benchmades, nothing as exotic as some pictured here, but then, even an ordinary blue-box Benchmade is a bit of an extravagance for me.
Here are a couple of Mini Barrages, a Griptilian, and my first, a Pika II, a red-box lockback from Benchmade's ill-fated China adventure.
The black barrage and the grip get carried a lot and are terrific working knives. I just have to agree with the premise of this thread.

Only have one - a blue anodized Auto Spike that I bought in 1998. I purchased it to carry in my back pocket while working. It got a lot of use.

I've had seven. Three were bought as gifts and these are the keepers.

The AFCK is the most carried.

Great knives. Like the 940 series. Carried a 943 for several years and it still gets carried when I feel like a change.

Adamas (larger) and Megumi (smaller). Larger knife is casual pocket clip carry. Smaller one rides in the small inner pocket of front pocket of suit pants.

Very nice folks. I've got way more Benchmades that I do photos but here are a few of my favorites.
Really like the Rukus. This is one of two 610's and I've got a 615 that is hard to beat too.

I only have one (mini grip with a D2 blade). It's my EDC and I can't imagine not having it.

I always wanted a Rukus but never bought one. They are expensive on eBay now and I doubt I'll ever buy one. Now if there is a Benchmade I like I just buy it and I rarely sell one.

I didn't have any photos of my 915 Triage so I took one.
I actually did pick up a used 615 Mini Rukus on eBay a few days ago for a reasonable price. I'm going to send it to the factory for sharpening and service then I'll take some photos.
