Ruger Light Weight 1911 Commander
Ruger has introduced a new model, the LW Commander with a titanium ramp insert. Comes with slimline grips and raving reviews so far.

If it is as good as the regular Ruger Commander, it will be a great firearm.

THAT IS A VERY ATTRACTIVE WEAPON. IF I WAS LOOKING FOR A .45ACP FOR EDC, I WOULD CERTAINLY CONSIDER THIS ONE. MY EXPERIENCE WITH RUGER SEMI-AUTOS HAS BEEN A POSITIVE ONE. THEY DELIVER LOTS OF GUN FOR YOUR DOLLAR, IMHO……….

I like the gun except the two tone. I would want it in the natural color instead of it being black. I have a Colt lightweight commander and love it. I also have the SR1911 and love that gun too. I would not hesitate to buy this one from Ruger if I did not have the Colt.

I personally like the two tone but then again, I haven't met many 1911s that I didn't like

That's a handsome firearm. Do we have specifics, like weight or MSRP?

The titanium ramp on the alloy frame sells it for me. The Colts, Kimbers and Smiths all just machine the ramp into the aluminum frame and that is one of the weak points of a light weight 1911. I have to say though, I have an alloy frame Kimber and the ramp looks fine after at least 2K rounds.

I wish they wouldn't do that. I am too old to buy more guns.
I have the SR1911 full size.
