Does anyone know what an original BHP T series ('68) magazine looks like? Mine is 13 rd, indents in the top and bottom of side of mag, with a cutout 2/3 the way up, and a round circle on the bottom... Just trying to figure out if it is original to the gun or an aftermarket one... I'm new to "bottom feeders" so I have no experience with magazines.

Also, the bluing on the HP is incredible, almost too good to be true... Although I've heard t series' had amazing finishes. Any clues to how to tell if it's been reblued? How would one know?

Thanks for the info

Unless done by a meticulous expert, the evidence of a re-blue is a softening of sharp edges and corners as a result of buffing and polishing.

There are lots and lots of bhp mags. There is a bhp site and there is some info there. There use to be a study and pictures of mags, but I can no longer find it on the net.

I had a hi power from 68. The blueing was amazing, kind of hard to believe but I know with absolute certainty it was original and was no safe queen.
Pictures would help, they kind of have a depth that is hard to duplicate.

what federali suggests is very true.......and look for softened, not crisp lettering and numbers on the slide and receiver. compare a re-blued handgun with an original in mint or new condition, even one in VVG , and the differences in what we suggest to look for, will leap out at you.

Good luck on the mag, I have no idea where to send you sir.

Mag should look like this. As to if it has been reblued other posters are spot on. Check the Browning rollmarks closely. If it has been refinished most of the time they will be a bit muted.
