Anybody have one? I know they have been sold to NAA some time ago (late 80's?).

I have one but don't know much about them. I haven't shot it yet but are the durable? Seems like a fun and challenging plinking gun. Very challenging

.

What are these things worth these days too? Not sure if I'm going to keep it yet or trade it off or what.

I have one from NAA that I picked up for a C note. They run around $225 new. Yours may or may not be worth a premium because it is an earlier gun. But I can tell you that you MUST carry it with an empty cylinder under the hammer. Your firing pin is captive in the frame unlike mine which has a pin on the hammer. Mine also has a safety notch between the cylinder holes so you can safely carry the gun with all five loaded provided you have the hammer fully down engaging the safety notch. Much easier to show than explain. I love mine and use it a lot for deep carry when on special ops

I did read the instructions about the empty chamber on these. I'm familiar with the later model NAA modelsand the notches in the cylinder. This gun is similar, but it also has some differences as the firing pin and the cylinder pin turns 180* to release the cylinder unlike the push button naa ones. Other than that I don't know much about these. I kind of like the tapered barrel and the rear sight on it too. Just not sure what I'm going to do with the thing. They don't seem to pop up on gb very often. Maybe I'll get a chance to take it out this weekend to see how it does.

I have the 22Lr and 22Magnum.
Sold my other 22LR w/ Belt Buckle. I only have the one for the Mag now. On the buckle it must be carried empty. But in the holster there is a safety notch on the hammer and it captures it away from the FP. Carry fully loaded every day.

These guns were the first offerings from Freedom Arms. And are collectors items.
Gun alone 22lr about $250 Mag up to $325.
Gun with buckle is worth around $450- $500 22 lr and up to $550-$600 for a Magnum.

Ready to go out for a walk.

Well went out this beautiful morning with 2 of my 3 brothers down to the range. I brought my 442-1, post war m&p, and the little freedom arms. First off at the plinking range I set up a 12" plate about 10 yards away. Hit it about 3 times out of 10. I remembered seeing people recommending to grip the gun with your non dominant hand and wrap your dominant hand around that one and use your dominant hand to pull the trigger. WOW! What a difference. I could hit that plate 4-5 per cylinder once I did that and found that with the ammo I had the gun was shooting low.

We stretched it out to the 35 yard max at this plinking range and supported on a rest could hit the 12" 1-2 times out of 5! This might not seem like much but considering the gun it's not too shabby. The missed shots could be seen kicking up dirt very near the target on the backstop too.

Some shooters from the pistol range came over to see what was making all that noise. They were shocked to see it was coming from such a small gun.

Next we went to the pistol range and I mostly shot the others I brought at paper. Before I left I shot 2 more cylinders full from the little freedom at some paper. To my surprise, standing unsupported with the strange grip I was able to shoot a 6" group at 15 yards taking my time and a 12" group at the same distance speeding it up some (maybe 10 seconds for all 5 shots). I wish I thought to take some pics or videos but we were having too much fun to stop. It was really fun to get together with my brothers and enjoy the morning. I cherish these days.
