Thanks for posting!
I don't have any Tauruses, but know some people who might have one or two on that list.

There's a lot of upset people at the Taurus forum. Most of them that own the models listed really love those handguns and are not happy with the settlement. The vast majority want them inspected, repaired and returned back to them.

It appears directed at their plastic fantastic pistols, mostly. They wouldn't be the first to pooch it with polymer.

Taurus isnt exectly known for quality to begin with.

Interesting. This is actually kinda old news in the fact that the problem was discovered maybe 2 years ago in Brazil by officers using certain model Taurus. It was claimed to be a Brazilian only problem but I guess it turns out to be a model problem.

I think it was the 24/7 that first was discovered to be a problem.

I'll have to look again on the link but I believe the recall only affects semi auto's.

I dont own one but I did check out a Taurus Poly protector .38spl that I thought was well made & fit the hand nicely. Just not a fan of the brand.

I have a Taurus 85 (the 21 oz model) on layaway. From what I hear, their 85 series are good revolvers for the price. I got mine for $250 with a 6 month layaway. That was too good to pass up when you're also saving up for an engagement ring and new truck.

I have a 40 year old PT 99, that is perfect.

Also a Model 94 Snub, a field pistol, which delights me.

I bought a 4" model 990 .22LR that I really like. The action was nice right out of the box and seems to get smoother the more that I use it. Shoots where I point it too.

I have an 85 SS that I bought for the wife more than 15 years ago that's been excellent. I recently got a blue 94 with 2" barrel that I haven't shot much yet, but when I did shoot it I was impressed with the accuracy out of that 2" barrel.
I think there are some lemons out there, maybe more than other makers, but I've been lucky and satisfied.

Don't own a Taurus, never will. Fired many, handled more. They don't do anything for me.
