I just bought a NIB - W/Box and papers, NEF R92 22LR revolver in nickel from my local gander mountain, $140.00 out the door, I took a few minutes to look it up online and it has some pretty good reviews (same company as H&R) and then I saw some for sale for anywhere between $225.00 and $300.00 bucks so I bought it.

Does anyone here have any experience with this gun and also I could buy a 3 year warranty from GM for $50.00 bucks which I almost did but then I figured it's kinda not smart to spend $50.00 already on a $140.00 gun, is it ? LOL I pick it up Friday after the 72 hour wait and I have a feeling if it's as reliable as what I've read it won't be new for very long. :D

If the serial number helps it is NB032690 TIA, John

NEF revolvers, have taken few on trade, and worked on several.
Weak point on them is plastic "shoe" on top of main spring guide
they tend to crumble and crack. I have replaced them with part
made from Alumilum. Steel would be better but takes to much
time for what the gun is worth. Trigger can be improved some
with a little tinkering. Not to hurt your feelings but if you can
turn a profit, send that little piggy to market. If you get the
money you are talking it would go a long way toward a used
pistol of better quality.

They occupied a market niche served by Heritage Arms today, low cost plinking and small game hunting revolvers. Though in the 90s, there was a .32 H&R mag version that was marketed as a lady's self defense gun. Today the successors to NEF/H&R disavow the things.

They used to sell for around $130 new.

Should be fine for plinking, snakes, tin can eradication, etc.

Well for $140.00 bucks I think I'll just take it home and shoot the snot out of it, how hard is it to smooth the trigger out, is it just a matter of polishing some parts ? Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it .

Man I know this was a very cheap gun buy I think it's gorgeous lol, I may just keep it in the safe since it's American made and no longer in production :D
