Ordered a Kel-Tec Sub2K Gen2 configured for Glock 19 mags back in February. Got a call Friday night that it was in. The clerk says, "Lucky you. We called two other people and they didn't answer their phones."
I was surprised. I bought this from the largest independent gun store in the area, and they're not known to be price friendly. Due to the relative scarcity of the Sub2K, I expected to get gouged on the final price. When I ordered it, price was unknown. It was $399. Clerk asked me if I wanted to buy the gun store's lifetime warranty for $25. If the gun breaks during the manufacturer warranty, I call the manufacturer and arrange for service. The gun store picks up the shipping charge. If the gun breaks after the manufacturer warranty, the gun store sends it out to get fixed or replaces it.
It's a Kel-Tec. Heck yes I ponied up the $25. LOL. I know some think I'm silly for purchasing one of these, but I wanted one for a while.
My first purchase of 2015 also ends up to be my last pickup of 2015.
