Up Dated Range Report. Xds 45.
I was haveing issues with the extended magazines on My new Springfield Xds45acp they would not load and cause failure to fire. I went to range today and used the two stock 5 round magazines. with out an issue. Springfield said to run a few more 100 rounds threw the extended magazine s but I think I am just going send them back. They where a bear to get them unlocked. The xds now has a total of 350 threw it. No problems using 5 rounds.

Sorry you're having an issue wingriderz. I have had no problems with extended mags on my XDs .45 and carry with them often. I'd suggest storing your mags full for a few weeks and put a few more rounds down range as suggested. IMHO they're a big advantage in round count, comfort and accuracy. Good luck sir!

Yes Sir thanks I got them fully loaded and stored.I made a point not to take them today they would lock the side tight open and closed. My plan is run a few more hundred before trying um again. I mean I am not weakling but it was real hard to free um up . Tap rap and pull real hard.

The extended 7-round mags suck. I believe Springfield doesn't make them anymore, opting for a newly designed 6-round mag that does work. I bought a 7-rounder before I learned not to, and had many problems. The XDS fed great with the shorter mags, but I couldn't make it through a 7-rounder without at least one problem. I hope your cure works......Good luck

SA returned my recall XDs with a free 7 round mag. I've had no problems with it. Luck of the draw I guess.

I bought a used XDs45 and it came with three 7 round and two 5 round mags. Everyone of them work without any problems for me. Factory and my reloads give no trouble at all.

This amazes me. I never had a problem with the 7-round mags either.

Have you disassembled the mags? Maybe a good cleaning will help.
