Default Otto Lang Stalking Rifle

Anybody out here ever heard of Otto Lang? I have this one in
8X57JRS. Traded for it about 20 years ago and have shot it and actually carried it hunting elk. I am considering selling it and am wondering if anyone has an idea of value. The butt plate, grip cap, and trigger guard are carved buffalo horn. It has a flip up white bead front sight. Bore is perfect and slugged at .320, so I use the Hornaday bullets for the .32 Winchester. (.321).This gun was proofed in 1916 I think.

How does it shoot? Pretty accurate? I shoot a .310 cadet and it's fun, it's a .321 bore also. Have 3 martinis total. Wish I could help on price, l watch the single shots on GB all the time. Looks like a great rifle. I'll be watching for the price ranges when people post here. Good luck, Larry

Shoots great with lead or jacketed. I cast a .321 lead 190 grain and use 2400. A fun poofer.

Never had or saw a Lang. When I was a teenager I got a Ferlach
O/U 16g & 8x57jrs. It looked very much like yours. The carving
checkering on pistol grip was same style, and trigger guard was
Horn, also had 3 flip up rears. I think front was stationary, but
was Ivory bead. It also had brass pins that indicated loaded
chambers, it was heavily engraved and inlaid. Upon reading on
gun, found out Ferlach was Austria town where a lot of these type
guns were made by craftsmen. Maybe yours came from same
region.
