CZ 45 .25 ACP - Opinions? Experience?
Just curious but saw one of these at the LGS today while perusing in my never-ending search for new goodies; mouse guns and S&W wheel guns being my primary weaknesses.
The CZ Model of 1945, or CZ 45, in .25 ACP. Interesting little piece, seems like it was a Postwar modification of their earlier 1936 model. Can't seem to find much info about them aside from they aren't too common thanks to the '68 laws.
Anyone here ever dealt with them? This one seems to be in pretty nice shape, about 90% blue left, no major cosmetic issues that I saw through the case. Didn't have time to give it a good once over hands-on, and sorry for the lack of pics, but figured I'd see if anyone out there has encountered these little guys before.
Thanks as always guys!

Can't help you, but do share your interest in the tiny guns, in general. If you buy it, please come back with info and pictures. Good luck!

I own one and love it. The design was copied to a great degree by Seecamp. It has a very smooth double action only trigger, no safety or slide stop lever and only a heel type magazine release. Capacity is 8+1 for a fairly decent number of shots which given the caliber may be needed. I have not tried any hollowpoints but wouldn't carry them anyway, you need penetration. Spare mags are hard to find and I imagine other parts may be also. The grips are prone to cracking or having chips knocked off the leading edge around the grip strap. Forget the made in USA reproduction grips, they are soft and flex too much which is a problem if you look at an exploded view and see how the left side of the grip frame is almost completely open under the grip panel.
There is an ebay seller in Czechoslovakia that has good quality hard plastic repro grips.
It would make a great backup or deep cover gun, it is small and light and has nothing to snag. Mine is much easier to shoot than my M1908 Colt vest pocket model and put all the rounds into the vital zone of a silhouette target at 7 years with no problem at all. It's a "point shooting" gun, sights are pretty much nonexistent being just a trough on the top of the slide. But it works as intended.
Buy it and post a photo.

One of the best little .25 pistols you can buy. Collectible too!

Thanks fellows; I'll have to give it a closer look tomorrow. What do you figure is reasonable for one in good clean firing condition? No safe queen, but assuming just a nice clean fairly high grade shooter?
*Edit: Went back by the shop today, no dice on this one. Pretty to look at and cheap, but some idiot had absolutely mangled the insides, firing pin was broken and they weren't sure about the extractor. Basically a parts gun. Oh well, on to the next one!
