Yeah, yeah, I know, it looks kinda funny, it's black, it's plastic, and I'm a pre 80s S&W revolver guy through and through. But I needed to replace my truck gun that was stolen in July. I wanted a full size 9mm, that I won't worry about getting a few scratches on it. I wanted a tool, not a prized possession. It had to be absolutely reliable and cheap. I looked at guns I could get for around $300. I considered the Remington RP9 and the Ruger 9E, besides the Creed. I just wasn't sold on the reliability of the RP9, and the Ruger came with only 1 mag, that's a $40 difference. So I got the Creed. It came in yesterday, $308 in my hand. I like it, I really do. It's starting to look better! The mag ejects with vigor, the serrations on the slide are the best I've ever used, the slide is easy to rack, and the trigger is the best I've ever seen on a poly gun. It has a hammer instead of a striker, and I think I like that. Now, I've got to get to the range and work it out.

I haven't heard anything negative about that gun. Sounds like it will perfect for your needs. Walther is generally excellent.

Congrats on your Creed, one of the best bang-for-the-buck pistols on the market.

I use an inexpensive lock box for my truck gun with Steel Cable Tether. It'll definitely stop your "typical" drug addict, smash-grab-run-theft, crime of opportunity. They're available in an assortment of different brands and sizes.

Good Luck, Stay Safe

Enjoy your new Walther. :) They are a direct descendant of the PPX, which is a good shooter.

If it's going to have a potential defense use, keep an eye on the 2-piece feed ramp. It's a carry over from the PPX and is known to separate.
During PPX production, Walther replaced all barrels sent back with loose feed ramps. Some current Creed owners have now complained on another forum that Walther is trying to avoid replacement and saying a certain looseness is acceptable.

Our PPX was a great shooter until the ramp got loose, then it jammed on every shot. We got a warranty replacement barrel and traded it. Makes a good range gun though.

The loose feed ramp separation.

I am a Walther fan, and my bedroom pistol is a PPQ which I find as a high quality handgun.
I bought a "Creed" because it was cheap.
I immediately did not like it because it is just HUGE in my hand.
It felt and looks like a Hi-Point !!!!!
I sold the Creed at a gunshow, because I was not happy with it's huge size.
Again,,,I am a Walther fan and love my PPQ 100%, but not their "Creed" model.

Congratulations. I am a committed Walther fan myself. I transitioned from a 442 to a PPS for my CC about 2 years ago and love it. My full size Walther is a P99, which is the grandfather of the Creed/PPX. Enjoy your new pistol.

If you like this pistol, a buddy sent me this link. 2/20/2019 Creed for $249 it sounds like a great deal. Not sure about shipping.
