I stopped in the LGS today and they had this really neat pepper box 6 round percussion revolver made by Blunt & Syms. I could not find a SN or even a maker's brand, but it was listed as such. Anyways, I thought I would share photos and ask If anyone knew anything about them?

Orison Blunt & John G. Syms, of New York City, made various models of Pepperbox firearms from 1830s to 1850s. Usually not made with maker's name and few were serialized. Only a few thousand were produced.Value of the one you show is in the $800-$1000 range, if it's mechanically sound. Ed.

A couple years ago I had a similar pepper box. The nipples were
beat from being played with. It was not marked were you could
see it. The barrels had London proofs, and frame had some Belgian marks. I got $450 for it. It was a European knock off. I
have had a few pepper boxes in past 50yrs, all were European
copies of popular American guns at the time. I had a Allen &
Thurber copy that was in very good condition. This is only original
( eventhough a copy ) that I ever fired. It was a .31 and 5 shot
all misses.
