Guys, I was at the range today trying out my new Tavor X95. I only had PMC 55gr FMJ and after zeroing it at 50 yards, it shot very good groups at 50 yards but once I was at 100 yards, I used both the factor iron sights, it was pretty decent. I even managed to get one 3 shot group 1 moa but must admit that was probably lucky. Most of the groups were about 4 to 5 inch groups but definitely center mass. When using my Sig Romeo 7 with my magpul magnifier, I was getting consistently 2" to 3" groups but it required very careful aim and had to be cautious with the trigger trying to get a surprise break.

No it is not anywhere as accurate as my 1MOA AR15 with Geisseely SSA-E and Vortex 1-6 power, but for a close quaters and a bullpup I can't complain. I am wondering if I had used match 77gr ammo, I am sure my groups would have been much better but for FMJ PMC it was pretty decent.

Shot nearly 200 rounds and no malfunctions to speak of. Fed reliably. I then went and tried double taps at 10ft, 25ft, and 45ft and it was 1 to 2" groups. At 75ft that is where the wheels kind of fell off and I was getting 6 inch double taps off hand. When I was using my arms and elbows as tripod, I was getting 1" groups at 75 feet with ease.

Thanks for the range report! I own the older Tavor with an 18" barrel. At 100 yards with a magnified optic, on a bench, with Hornady Superperformance, I can manage a 1.5" group. Rifle is probably capable of doing better than the nut behind the trigger.

I always keep in mind that my Tavor is a civilian neutered version of a military combat rifle. Shooting off hand, shooting while moving, shooting a moving target, shooting prone, I achieve minute of bad-guy silhouette accuracy with ease.

I was thinking about getting the Geissle Sabra and the trigger mod but for $450 it is not worth it. also the gun has to literally be taken completel apart. Not sure I trust myself to screw that up. For what it was designed for, to be in close quarters no need to do any trigger mods. If I need long range will use my bolt .308

Upgrading the trigger pack is easy. Push out the pins retaining the trigger pack. Remove OEM trigger pack. Install Geissele. The process on the X95 is the same as the old Tavor. I installed a Geissele into my Tavor, and it makes a world of difference even when using the factory trigger shoe.

The Geissele lightning bow trigger shoe is the part that requires a PITA detail disassembly. Even though I am mechanically inclined, I didn't want to take mine completely apart.

Uggggg!!! Now you are gonna make me spend more freaking money. I know the Geissele will make a difference as it did my other rifle but for $350 that is pretty darn steep. However, I just checked my trigger weight and it is 5.8lbs and it is not bad. Geissele states 5.5 to 7.5lbs so not sure if it will make that much of a difference. And another thing to keep in mind this is a close quarters rifle.

What kind of groupings are you getting with the Geissele?
