I have a pretty decent late-model Star collection :)
One of the members is a Star Megastar 45, in .45acp/.45-Super
Yeah, you read that right...either/or, with no changes to anything.
It was built THAT beefy.

Anyway, being that they've been out of production since 1999, parts
can be hard to find, magazines especially so...So it made my day to find
a few mags at Numrich two weeks ago, so I ordered a pair to bring my total
up to 3 mags for the pistol :)

Got them in, good condition, one Parkerized, one Blued. Cleaned & oiled 'em heavily,
then put them back in the plastic bags for a couple days for some total saturation.
They felt kinda "dry". so a little overkill was called for ;)
Wiped 'em off and took 'em to the range! Ran 2 boxes of .45acp first,
then a box of .45-Super...everything worked great, so took it home,
cleaned, inspected, & lubed it, hunky-dory.

They've still got all three styles of .45 mags available, and some 10mm as well.

Bloody heck, can't get my pics transferred from my phone...argh...
Ah well, might actually have to break out the digicam...which is where these
two pics came from ;) Second pic shows the Megastar next to a M243 Firestar Plus

The Megastar is one of those guns I should have grabbed when they were relatively cheap. They have a bit of a cult following these days.

As a substitute, I now have a Sarsilmaz K2 45 for when I need 14+1 of 45 ACP.
