Rossi 38 special 1986 M66 N6- Any Info?
Rossi 38 special 1986 M66 N6
Picked up this .38 special. Based on Rossi's site, the serial number pulls this info. However, I cannot find anything with regards to pre-Taurus, post Taurus, and why it says Washington, D.C., vs. Alexandria, VA.
Was Interarms of Alexandria, VA, the same company as Firearms International, Corp., of Washington, D.C.? Imagine a firearms company today in D.C.?!?
Any insight on this would be great. See full pictures for all details of markings.

I believe International Firearms Corp are just a importer not a manufacturer.

My Rossi 68 is marked The Garcia Corp, Wash. D.C. It has the same Rossi frame stamp and somewhat similar markings on the barrel. However, on my barrel the writing is centered from front to rear. To me it appears that your barrel may have been shortened. I don’t know anything about a 66, my 68 is a 5 shot 38sp as well, so would assume them to be similar guns. I also have a newer stainless Rossi 518 that has Interarms Alexandria VA on it. These are all made in Brazil.

Can you post a picture of yours? I agree with the lettering on mine, and as if it appears to be a cut barrel. However,
the front sight seems legit and not added on, so how big was the front end of the sight if the barrel was longer?
But for $150, and it shoots, I don't care if it has been cut.

Mine is different in that it has a leaf type rear sight and that may affect the height of the front sight. My sight is pretty tall. I also put a set of J frame Hogues on it.
