Charter Bulldog Owners...Question

As most of you know I rotate between my 442 and my Bulldog....

I really dig the altamont boot grips on ,my 442. Unfortunately they don't make the short ones for CHarters, just the oversized ones.

But Eagle grips does:

Charter Arms Secret Service Rosewood Revolver Grips Checkered

I was wondering if anyone was running these eagle boot grips on their bulldogs and if you could provide feedback and maybe photos. I am on the fence right now.

Maybe I missed it but your link is for their .38.
Do they make them for the .44 Bulldog?
Are they the same size?

All charter arms revolver stocks/grip are interchangeable for all calibers.

Very interesting, I like the rubber on mine but the boot grip might be a nice option.

The pachmayr rubber is great for range but for concealment I am really wanting the boot grip. My current config above is OK as well but I want something with a little more width.

I ordered a set of Eagle “Secret Service” grips for my Bulldog a few years ago. They arrived and were terrible. The fit was bad and the grain & color was different from the right to the left grip.

I sent them back for a refund and had to call three different times to get my refund.

If you decide to go with Eagle, I sure hope you have better luck.

I am not an expert on Charter Arms frames or grips, but I can tell you that IMO the original grips on the original Bulldog were great! They not only fit my hand well (no grip adapter needed), they also formed sort of a shelf on the right hand side so that the gun could be carried safely IWB without a holster. I do remember that mine didn't fit the frame perfectly - I had to whittle and glue in a couple of wooden matchsticks - but they were probably the best belly gun grips I had seen to date. Certainly the best from the gun's manufacturer.

You might consider looking for a pair.

+1 on the the original Bulldog wood grips.

I have some on a newer stainless Bulldog and they are perfect. Good fit, great in the hand, and don't snag on things.

I got mine from eBay and paid 50 dollars. Well worth it.

Already tried them. They extend beyond the grip frame which is what I do not want.

I want boot grips that do not extend beyond the grip frame.

That is why right now I have the banana stocks and a tyler T but would like to go with a thicker boot style.

The only one I found was the eagle grips ones, altamont makes them but for some reason only makes the ones that extend below the grip frame. Thats why I asked.
