I have one and like it. It's a beefy gun to say the least but that doesn't bother me since I'm not carrying it. I have others that are better suited for that. Mine went back to Ruger to have the grips replaced/refit. In my lust to get it I overlooked the poor fit. The longer I had it the more it bothered me, considering its a +$1000 msrp gun. I emailed the CEO and got top notch service getting it fixed. Plus they sent me a set of FO sights and a hat for free. The trigger is a bit heavy DA, but SA is alright. .45acp is almost like shooting .22lr, the weight of the gun soaks up the recoil. I shot some Colts through mine but don't really remember much about firing them other than to say the accuracy was good considering I hadn't shot anything for a while and was out of practice. I just like the looks! A big honkin' gun with some big holes. Maybe I'm compensating. LOL. The fit and finish on mine is excellent. FWIW Hogue now makes grips for the round butt guns. I bought a set direct from them since at the time nobody else had them that I could find. I think they will come in handy should I decide to hot-rod it. All in all mines a well made revolver that I'll never wear out and I expect my grandchildren will be able to shoot if the govt still allows it, and ammo is available.
