A Colt Pocket Positive 32 And A NAA 22 LR
I picked these up yesterday for $400 which is probably more than most would give. The Colt was advertised as a 38S&W which didn't make sense to me. The barrel length leaves me thinking it has been shortened because I can find no mention of a 1-1/2 inch barrel, if it was whomever did it knew what they were doing. The plastic grips got to go though. The NAA 22 is an early one made in Newbury Park California without the safety notches, and will be left that way.

Nice pick up...
Here's my Pocket Positive, in .32 Colt New Police (.32 S&W Long). Mine is a 2 1/2" bbl., it was also made in a 2" bbl., but as far as I know, noting shorter. .32 was the largest caliber, AFAIK.
Best Regards, Les

Les is that your first issue on the PD?
Merl67, worth that all day. I don't recall seeing a Pocket Positive in person.

I really want one!
My LGS has one with a longer barrel, but he wants too much. I think he's around $600 for it. He's not normally that high on revolvers, but lately he's been marking all Colt's pretty high. I think it's a secondary symptom of the snake gun fever that's afflicted so many these days.

Doc, there's a guy over on the Colt forum who has a 2 1/2" Pocket Positive barrel for sale, if you find a long barrel model and want to convert it.
Old Cop, this one is just a little older than I am!!
Best Regards, Les

The same reason I wouldn't send an original 3 screw Ruger back to the factory. It's only original once. I know it isn't collectable today but someday it might be if I do carry it I will leave a empty chamber under the hammer.
