I have a Bond Arms .45acp derringer that has a horrible trigger. I know you have to pull back and downward but that only helps a little bit. I am thinking about going over all the parts with a fine stone and try to smooth things out but I don't think that will help alot. Is there a spring kit out there? or some other option to lighten the pull? I would like to get it down to 5 lbs if possible.

If there is a spring kit Wolff makes it, check their web page.

It is amazing what you will find in the works of a recent firearm. On a friends brand new Stainless Super Blackhawk I worked a little over an hour and all the burrs and tails would almost fill a bottle cap!

I use a piece of white butcher paper to work on (that lets you see all the things you knock off as well as anything you drop). I have every dental pick, diamond stone, and jewelers file available to deal with what you find! If you don't care about keeping the chips, a white towel is even better. Dropped parts don't bounce off!

Despite the fact that the trigger problems on Bond's derringers are widely known, there seems to be no standard way of lightening the trigger pull, AFAIK. I am forced to use my Bond as a range gun, as practice for my American Derringers.
