A buddy of mine sent me these photos last evening.

Apparently no markings on the gun.

Was found in an old farmhouse in WV.

Can anyone offer up some clues as to a manufacturer/age & value?

Thanks in advance for any and all input.

For age, 1880 +/- 10 years. ammo is worth more than the gun.

If the bore is about .357" the short cartridge is about 38 Short Colt power, long = Long Colt power. If about 44 caliber it's most likely a 12 mm, and way less powerful than a 44 Russian. More like the old " Webley Bull Dog" rounds, very capable of serious wounds or death.
