Best Bang for your firearms accessories buck
What relatively inexpensive firearm accessories really earned their keep. For me:
.223/5.56 laser chamber sight $25--gets first shot to within 2 inches of zero at 25 yards
1911 acrylic grip insert stand for about $9

Uplula magazine loader.
Handi-Racker racking tool.
DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster.
All are inexpensive, durable, and work exactly as advertised.

I'll agree with swSig. Got the first two, saves my thumb and the Handi Racker works with difficult slides...probably won't need it after I train my hands.
Got a great holster, not a De Santis and not a pocket, but it's a CYA and very lightweight, very slim.

NRA instructor taught me to rack the slide with the racking hand over the slide, the thumb of the racking hand pointed pointed back, four fingers pushing slide into heel of hand and pushing the grip hand forward.

Re: OP. Pachmayr Presentation grips. I very much like the square butt model since I do not at present own a round butt revolver. Do very much enjoy and appreciate pretty wood grips. But, reality is that when it comes to shooting guns that kick more than a .22 LR, a good pair of Pachmayr Presentation grips are very comfortable and allow an excellent secure grip on the revolver even when the weather is cold, wet, rainy, etc. I have one pair that I've had since 1980. I've used them on .357 and .44 magnum S&W N-frames. Broke my left hand in March. Now my K-frames are all fitted with Pachmayr's. Result is that I can shoot my beloved revolvers without my hand hurting so much. Wonderful! Sincerely. bruce.

1. Uplula for double stack pistol magazines, and a Magpacker for the AR and UZI. Saves so much time, and my thumbs when loading magazines.
2. Laser bore sight.

An LED bobber light for about $5. They’re obviously intended for fishing, but they make a great bore light for muzzle loaders and pump/semi-auto rifles where bore inspection can be difficult. The ones we’ve used even fit in a .22.

For females with limited arm strength, they can increase the effect by anchoring the forearm of their strong hand on their hip and then rotate their hip as well to rack the slide.
----
In general though, it's tactically more sound to sling shot the slide. It avoids any potential to get anything in front of the muzzle, it prevents any interference with a case or cartridge exiting the ejection port when clearing a jam, and it avoids any confusion that can occur when using different techniques for administrative and tactical reloads or clearing a jam.
In short, your best bet is developing sufficient finger, hand and arm strength if possible, and if not find a pistol that is better suited to you.

I like Bore Snakes especially for shotguns but they are handy for rifles and pistols also for a light cleaning. Cheap nylon flap holsters in different sizes, I store guns in them and also slip them on my belt for a trip to the woods or riding my four wheeler. When you have a whole bunch of handguns it gets expensive to buy nice leather holsters for each one. Bikini rubber scope lens covers I like them better than flip-ups and they don't take up much room in your pocket. AR-15 pistol grip with storage compartment. I keep allen wrenches for the scope mount, batteries, and one spare cartridge.

For me it was a piece of thin wall tubing, 1/2” ID, that I made into a moon clip unloader. It cost me less than 10 minutes and is still going strong after nearly 5 decades.

Looks like the Uplula is worth a try.
Here we are limited to 10 round magazines and at the range I load them to 5 rounds. Not able to load 10 by hand. Also, sounds like the Uplula is designed to avoid damage to the magazine lips.

It will help avoid damage to the feed lips. My dad acquired one form me as he couldn't load all 7 or 8 rounds into his shield magazine. Problem solved with this tool. If you compete, or plan to, these are a no brainier.

LaserLyte bore sighter.
Switching from 380ACP, (South Florida) varmint pistols to Winchesters and Ruger No.1 (Rocky Mountain) Varmint rifles the boresight is spectacular.

I agree with the Uplula double stack pistol mag loader, and more so, the loader for sporting rifle mags. Laser bore sighter, bore lights, and the very slick bore snakes.
Not all are "inexpensive", none are cheap. Good quality all around.

I’ll second the grip adapters. I have them on all of my revolvers. The HKS loaders were necessary in PPC.

I think either method is sound, but I prefer the slingshot method primarily because my hand doesn't cover the ejection port.
Another issue with the overhand method is that unless you're paying attention (yeah, I know, we should always pay attention when handling guns, but sometimes sh stuff happens, especially in a high stress situation), it can be rather easy to end up with the muzzle pointing to the side and not downrange.
Again, either method is sound, IMO. It's pretty much a matter of personal preference.

For me, its the simple rifle sling. I have hunted with a lot of guys who say they like to carry the rifle in their hands, ready to go. No sling, a sling just gets in the way.
They have obviously never attempted to drag out a buck with one hand.....
Not exactly inexpensive, but if you have older eyes that cant focus on the rear, front, and target anymore, for under $200, a red dot or low power optic on a handgun can be a godsend.
And yea, those cheap, S,M,L generic nylon holsters can come in handy. I have nice holsters for my serious use handguns, but would go broke if I had to buy a quality, fitted holster for every handgun I own.

I looked all over the internet for a Tyler for my 28...can't find one. I ordered a J-frame one from Tyler about 4 months ago, have yet to receive it and don't really expect to.
I finally put one of the molded ones on my 36 from BK Grips. It works fine. They only make them in Smith J and K/L sizes, (might make them for other makes, didn't look) and the Ks won't fit an N frame. It will almost work, but leaves Lots of gaps.
Do a websearch for an N-Frame grip adapter. I couldn't find one at any location.

Harris bipod. It lacks some of the up-market niceties of more expensive 'pods, but it's fast and easy to use, rugged, and inexpensive.
I mean, I still want a Sinclair F-class 'pod, but...

HKS Speedloaders.
There are some that are smaller and some that are faster, but you can get an HKS speedloader for almost any revolver and they are reliable.
With practice, you can do an impressively fast reload using the FBI, Universal or Stress Fire methods.

Sinclair's scope stand. It's not cheap, but I use it all the time - hence a good "bang for the buck."
As shown, it mounts to a bench, but it also can be turned sideways to mount to a vertical post. Turn it upside down to mount to an overhead. I've fussed with and abandoned camera tripods. They take too much room and it's easy to snag the legs with your hoofs. I use a hipower-style stand for standing or prone, but they suffer from wobble. For most other uses, the Sinclair stand gets the job. It's simple and rock solid.

A little piece of ball chain (couple of inches) a catch and a yard of 130 LB test dacron. Put the catch on the end of the chain and tie a couple of stopper knots in one end of the dacron. Secure it in the ball chain catch. The other end make a 3" loop / Get an old T shirt and cut it up for patches. Will work in .223 all the way up to 30 cal for field cleaning and fits in yer pocket in an old pill bottle. LOTS cheaper than the OTIS kit and does the same job, In place of the ball chain, I've used the 1/16 bullet worm sinkers or a couple of pieces of split shot-but the ball chain works best for .22's. As far as shotguns, the best bang for the buck are those snakes for bore cleaning

I'm surprised so many people are saying how great the Uplula loaders are. I've had 35 or 40 semi auto handguns over the years in various calibers and I never thought loading a magazine was difficult or tiresome with any of them.

I am not able to get even 9 or 10 rounds of .40 S&W into the 10 round magazines allowed in NJ for my Sig P226. The Uplula made it so easy I burned through 2 boxes x 50 rounds in no time

I never used to care about Uplulas. Then I started attending a ladies' shooting org meet as an RSO (and in the case of the numerous experienced shooters, an "ammunition and target assistant" ).
Some of those mag springs were strong. As in, loading 5 rounds into a 10-shot mag took a ton of effort. Some of the ladies couldn't load those ones at all without an Uplula, and I happily borrowed their pink and purple ones.
